Sounds like Lucas might be happening. I’d much rather have a backup 10 than another winger, but I won’t complain too much.
What we need more than anything is a box to box midfielder. Dembele is really starting to show his age, Winks has gone missing, and Sissoko is not good at passing.
Yeah Dembele is definitely not the player he use to be and likely won't ever be again. Dele can play the 10 or the 8 in a pinch. Maybe with an extra winger Lamela could also be a backup 10? There was a clear hole when Eriksen couldn't play the other week. We have other midfielders but like voodoo said Sissoko stinks and Winks has been hurt. Even when they're all healthy we could use another midfielder in the summer since Dembele won't be with us much longer.
But I'm happy with any added depth for the rest of this season. It's hugely important to finish top 4 going into the new stadium and we're still in champions league and the FA cup as well.
