No shots on goal with 2 "strikers" out there at home against a fairly shit defensive unit. Clearly not working.
Need to start 11 lads named Harry. Even before his goal Winks had been one of the lone bright spots, he has looked very comfortable on the ball.
How did we not fucking score there? Ridiculous save. Wanna see a replay on that Rose strike too, looked like handball.
lol fuck yourself Janssen, should have taken his bum ass off before the corner Reid went down super easy, but you can't fucking pull that shit. So fucking embarrassing off corners. Sell that piece of shit for whatever you can get for him.
Why we didn't pull the trigger on Dembele from Fulham instead of this fucking bum will go down as one of the biggest mistakes of the Poch era.
We needed 3 points and nothing else today, this is a fucking embarrassment especially at home. Away to Monaco during the week and Chelsea next weekend? Shit is about to get fucking dismal in a hurry if this team doesn't get on track. Toby being out has had repercussions throughout the entire team.
Janssen shouldn't even make the 18 next weekend. Harry plays way better as the lone striker, and it allows for a way more talented player to be on the pitch making a difference whether it be Son, Alli, Lamela, Winks, Onomah, Jermain Jenas, Wilson Palacios, etc. Basically anyone but Janssen.
He is a striker who doesn't score goals and the team clearly played better when he came off. Add in the fact that he gave away a stupid penalty, he's going to get hate. He did do well on the first goal, agreed. That doesn't balance out the dumb shit and the fact Kane clearly plays better without him on the pitch. You can be a hard worker but if it rarely results in anything positive then it gets a bit frustrating to watch.
He isn't scoring goals yet. It's been three months. Lamela and Son both took 12+ months to really start contributing.
I would love nothing more than for Vincent to shut me up and start banging in the goals. He has shown at the international level that he's clearly got a knack for it, but he hasn't produced the goods with us when given the opportunity yet. Kane is back, and there is no reason to go with a 2 striker system with him fit and firing.
That was my sole issue with the lineup we started today. I know Alli is coming off a knee injury but Son would have been my choice to start over Vinny. I was actually confident Winks would represent himself well this afternoon, and he looked very assured all day long. You have to love seeing another top lad from the academy come through in the clutch and insert himself into the starting XI conversation going forward. We are going to need depth to make a charge during the hectic Holiday period coming up.
Harry Kane now boasts a staggering record of 18 goals in 22 London derbies for us. That is the highest rate of any striker, ever. Going to need him to keep it going next weekend.
It is weird that there has hardly been any news regarding Toby and his status. I was really hoping he'd be ready to go coming back from this international break. Rose is suspended for the Chelsea match due to fucking yellow card accumulation (the stupidest shit on earth), so having Toby healthy would really help keep things tidy at the back.
Kane quashing the bogus rumors of contract negotiation strife with Levy. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...oping-to-sign-new-long-term-deal-at-tottenham "I'm happy at the club. A lot of people are going to speculate about contracts but I am happy - you saw me out there (on Saturday). "There's not many better feelings than being at White Hart Lane and scoring in a London derby. So yeah, I am happy at the club and want to be here for a long, long time. "We are in talks and I'm sure we will get something sorted. I'm not panicking and I'm not demanding anything as I've read in the paper. "We're having a conversation and I have no doubts that we will get it sorted. As I say, I want to be here for a long time and I am sure I will be." Kane has scored 69 goals in 135 appearances for Tottenham and won last season's Golden Boot award with 25 strikes to his name as Mauricio Pochettino's side finished third in the Premier League. And he believes such speculation over his future is simply an indicator of his good form. "I think it shows that I am doing well, for one thing," Kane said. "I am happy here. Hopefully we will have no issues with the contract - we have only just started talking about it. Get that down and get that wrapped up. "I'm fully concentrated on playing for Tottenham and winning for Tottenham and I think there are no doubts after West Ham that my mind is anywhere else. "We've got a great young team, new training ground, new stadium being built, great young manager. The future is very bright. "It's important that we keep hold of all our players and keep building on this great team that we have. For us now it's about winning trophies and competitions - that's the next step."
I don't think he minds covering there, but I'm pretty sure his issue was when we weren't signing a full time lb and he had to play damn near every game there.
Welcome back Owsley, screw the rest of you especially Ace Boogie. Only screw broXcore and Spontaneous Cumbustion a little though.
Poor searching balls trying to cut through the middle of the park, absolutely comical defense. I was worried when that lineup came out and had neither of the Belgian Bros.
