Sets us up for top 4 with another win. With this momentum, we're almost guaranteed a quintuple or something.
Thought Dier put in his best shift in some time today. There’s still room for improvement, but hopefully this will help build his confidence and turn him in the right direction.
Yeah I thought he played well defensively. His passing is still subpar, We need him to play well because it appears he’s got a starting spot nailed down for the rest of the season.
Almost as good as we could ask for after finishing 2nd in the group. Having 10 days off to work on the training pitch before the first leg will be nice. Finally the Premier League is doing something in that regard this season.
Got this emailed from the club: https://official.tottenhamhotspur.com/444I-QE6Y-1J0RAE-K669N-1/c.aspx
Spurs fans have called themselves Yid Army and there’s been talk about whether or not it was inappropriate to take it up as a badge of honor
It’s got a pretty interesting history within our fan base. Originally used as a slur against Spurs and the large number of Jewish supporters we have. Then reappropriated by the entire fan base as a way to show solidarity with the Jewish fans (Yid Army). Now it’s interwoven with the supporters culture of the club.
But in England it’s historically been used as a pretty derogatory racial slur, so the continued use by Spurs fans (even though it’s in a positive and inclusive manner) creates controversy.
Ahh interesting, my fanship came with Dempsey back in 2011/12ish. So i am a bit lacking in the club history dept.
I never know what to make of reported deal sizes. The media always changes figures. This is interesting, though. We save £7 million if we exercise in January for Lo Celso. Deal size also seems. Inch smaller than originally reported, although I’ve forgotten the loan fee. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ke-Giovani-Lo-Celsos-loan-permanent-deal.html
I've also read that if we qualify for champions league the option to buy becomes mandatory. Hopefully Jose learns to trust and play Lo Celso because there's a good chance we're going to have to spend a bunch of money to keep him.
Anyone know the latest on the stadium naming rights? Seems like there were rumors shortly after it opened, but nothing lately.
Wow, great and unexpected news. The rumors were that he wanted to go to Ajax and finish his career and it had nothing to do with money or us.
Great news. Now let’s get Jan locked up as well. Eriksen is for sure gone but only losing him would help keep some depth at cb. With all the games coming up around the holidays we’re going to see pretty much everyone get a shot to play. Good chance for some of our other players to show they deserve (or don’t deserve) more playing time.
Sooo, it seems a decent number of our players were not fans of Poch? Trippier mentioned trouble “behind the scenes” when he left. I wonder if he was referring to tension between players and Poch.
I think it’s fair to say that strictly based on this signing and the way they’ve played since he was sacked
My brother loves everything Tottenham. Anyone have any good gift ideas $50 or less that could be delivered by Christmas?
