I'm predicting a big bounce back year from Dele this season. A full summer break and Tanguy in the team should give him more license to stay further up the pitch with King Harry. He is most effective when he is free to float and not forced to track back as much to help the midfield regain/retain possession.
Been thinking that we may want to unload now especially if we get a loan to buy for Ceballos and have max money from his deal to purchase others. May be too hard to pass up.
Hercules has been wrong about pretty much every prediction he’s made. The few things he’s been right about were only things he spoke about after other legit itk’s mentioned them first.
And we need at least one more midfielder. Preferably a destroyer like Wanyama because I don’t think he’ll ever be fully healthy again.
I don't think we have many options right now as I am sure we don't want to sell in England, so it leaves the big clubs in Spain, with Madrid being the most realistic suitor. Thinking maybe the stories of Levy approaching them last week had to do with him realizing they had cooled and him thinking that if he can't get Eriksen to sign that now is his best chance to cash in if he can figure out a way to entice them. Perhaps lowering price and the Ceballos reverse loan is the answer. I don't see us getting more than 60-75M for Eriksen. The original numbers were obscene and not realistic. With one year left on his contract and his age, now may be the best chance to cash in, and I am going to back track on what I said before. If we think it is a risk to lose Eriksen and replace him with one player like GLC, then maybe with his money and the Ceballos loan we improve the odds of successfully replacing his production. Similar to what we did with Lamela and Eriksen with the Bale money. We diversify the risk with much less money to play with since transfer fees have gone up so much.
I know the new thing is Foyth as a RB. Not sure I see it, and I ultimately still see him as a midfielder, but this was nasty...
Yeah i quickly figured out Hercules likes his role as an ITK a little too much. Seems like the JJ guy is the most trusted and maybe The Goat after that?
The Goat isn't a person. The site regulates ITK and if you are some random person who has ITK or you are an ITK who wants your identity to be withheld then you tell the moderators and they put the ITK out as the Goat.
Yes, this is the opposite of everything I have seen reported today. Frankly unless they drop their valuation into the 40's I dont see this happening any time soon or at all.
That would signal Toby is leaving which makes me sad. But taking a signing away from Arsenal makes me happy.
The news I saw yesterday implies that he has agreed to terms with Roma, but Roma has yet to agree to the release clause and are trying to squeeze us below the 25 million.
That's ridiculous. His release clause is already way below what his actual value is. He's still one of the better CBs in Europe when healthy.
Agreed, but they feel that they can run out the clock and if there are no other suitors they may be able to force our hand and take 17 or 18 million or risk getting nothing next year. The thing I don't get is that I don't perceive that Roma can pay Toby any more than we can, so either he hates Poch or he wants out badly for some other reason if this is to be believed.
Alasdair Gold says we aren’t moving for Olmo, Lo Celso and Ceballos remain our MF targets, and we’re still expected to move for Sess by the end of the month.
Saliba would be our Johnny Verts replacement which makes me sad. One of Ceballos/GLC, Sess and a dude like Saliba combined with Tanguy would be a pretty good window
Looks like Salibas would be an immediate loan back to St. Ettiene so I dont think this necessarily means were losing Toby
After last season I don't see how starting Foyth, Sissoko, a random fan could be worse than Trippier and Aurier. Sell em both. Fuck em
healthy aurier could be a nice boost at that position as well. has he been great for us? not really, but i think the talent is still there.
I don't disagree. But he's generally been a bone head. Also he can't throw the ball in. I'd be happy to eat crow but the version that has existed on Spurs to date...send him to lake of fire
Aurier isn't good enough to start so I would be fine selling him if we can get decent money. It's nice Foyth can play RB but if we sell Toby we'll need him to play CB. Or if Foyth moves to RB full time then we need to buy more CB depth. Also wouldn't hate if we bought another good midfielder and could play Dier mostly at CB, he's a mess in the midfield. I love that we got our big signing in already but we've still got a good amount of depth we need to add and expendable guys to sell.
There's no way we can sell both Aurier and Trippier in the same window. And I haven't heard any links with RBs.
now rose isn't going to asia? if we sell him, what the fuck are we doing? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...tottenhams-pre-season-tour-asia-edges-closer/
