I would only swap Dier out for Dembele I think from the squad yesterday. Leave Lamela on the bench to come in with the high energy play.

 

Poch loves Dier so I’d expect to see a Dier-Dembele pairing in 4-2-3-1 instead of Dier being dropped. If we play 3 atb again I can’t see us not having a pure DM just above the back. Would like to see Danny get a start, too.

I don’t want to run Rose out for his first start against United. I also prefer three at the back because it lets our fb’s get forward more and not have to play as much defense which they’re not great at. I do think Poch will revert to the back four though. Hope Toby starts but guessing it will be Sanchez.

 

We need him to win. He will get his exemption if he does.

 

Uzbekistan up next. Talented squad apparently. Syria or a strong Vietnam up after that. It was a good sign from today that the two goals were scored not by Son. They need others to step up when Son is forced to fall back deeper to operate more in midfield.
