Winks had his chance. What is so frustrating is I actually felt better about how we looked with the exception of the mistakes in the back.
Going to be funny this summer when Mourinho wants to buy players and Levy refuses to spend any money due to us not making CL. Jose won’t play the loyal soldier like Poch did.
tough to get excited about a team that's so lacking in so many areas. The club has one centerback who can consistently play at this level. An oft injured geriatric goalkeeper and a league one tier backup. A wingback on one side who can't play any defense, and one on the other side who can't link a pass. Central mids who can't play any defense or link forward passes. One striker in the entire club and he misses 3/4 of our games. A manager who is 15 years behind the times tactically (and who will be having public meltdowns soon enough -- that train is always on time) and a chairman and board that won't spend money. I don't blame the fans for the lack of excitement one bit. Probably thinking to themselves: I'm going out in a crowded place in the middle of a pandemic for this shit?
Ndombele has so much talent but he's clearly lazy. He's never looked to be in great shape and is constantly hurt. I have little faith that Jose is the type of manager to get him to change those bad habits though, so yeah not great.
He was such a beast during that 16-17 season. Too bad his knees were all but gone after that. Hope he does well in MLS.
I mean, obviously that's a possibility. If they don't make Europe next season, they'll probably consider offers. They'll need to rebuild and they'll need the money. Losing Son Heung Min would be a bigger blow and I think you'll start reading those stories soon too. These guys are getting older and they're going to want to win hardware. Not spending any money to improve the club while they were homeless (playing at Wembley) is such a classic example penny wise, pound foolish... and, as they say -- old sins cast long shadows.
Honestly if Kane really wants to win something, he’s an idiot if he stays. I’m actually kind of surprised he’s still here. I would have bailed after we went two transfer windows without signing anyone and went to play for someone who was serious about winning something.
yeah, he blows. His team lost to a club that, let's face it, is probably going to finish mid table in the ECL next year... oh, and who were without their best player. I don't care about how banged up this team is, that ain't good enough.
