My dog gets all freaked out watching me act like a maniac so the least I can do is take her for a halftime stroll.
Sissoko’s transformation from misfit to midfield boss makes me so happy. Those late lung busters are just the best.
I mean the control off his boot was just sumptuous. I know a shit ton of top players who would sky that.
Man, if when you woke me up this morning and said "the score today will be 3-0 at the 87', who is winning?" I would have said Dortmund 8 out of 10 times. Hell, if you told me that "the score today will be 3-0 at the 87', who is winning?" at HALFTIME, I would have said Dortmund 10 out of 10 times.
I really love Fernando. He’s been through some shit but has come up huge recently. Poch obviously has loads of faith in him as well.
He's good. Sad we didnt get him when we were in the running. I understand it was close. Now he is going to be a fortune.
Duh, sorry thinking Sancho. Davinson has gotten a really bad rap lately by commentators. I think like Foyth, he tends to make some bad plays because we put them in a position to defend one on one. Sanchez sometimes gets outmuscled and when he doesn't he can take a bad foul. I don't think he is in his best form since he has been here, but he is very good and will be a force for years to come. I still can't help think that Foyth belongs in midfield. The kid can move well and pass well. I see him as an offensive threat...maybe a box to box type.
If/when we sell Toby we need to buy a replacement CB who is starting level. I am not comfortable with Sanchez and Foyth rotating as starters next to Jan. With Jan's age and injury history we need another good CB to be in the rotation with those two young guys.
Agreed, we need significant upgrades at the CB position long term. Sanchez has a very high ceiling but he's not there yet. Our #1 CBs can't make 1 or 2 careless errors a game that creates good chances for the other side, in CL competition those are usually goals. He and Foyth both were bailed out yesterday.
We bought Dao to replace Toby. He and Foyth are the future, and Jan isn’t going anywhere, so if we buy a CB it’ll be purely for depth.
The reality is that we have one of the best CB situations in the entire league. Every single one is quality. We are not alone in CB's making mistakes. It is a high pressure position and mistakes are inevitable going up against the caliber of players they see. Gone of the days of a backfield of Dawson, Kaboul, and Gallas.
Right. Anyway, until this stadium is finished and they figure out where they are financially, I don't think there's going to be a major purchase at any position.... ...and if there is to be money spent, there are more pressing positions than CB - like team manager - which should be everyone's first concern. What he did yesterday was absolutely masterful.
I watched narey a minute of your match yesterday but it appears that you were, in fact, outchere. So congrats.

I don’t think Poch cares about his salary, he wants money to improve the team. Dembele was already sold, Toby is likely getting sold and we’re hopefully getting more champions league money. The stadium will be done by the start of next season at worst, more likely before the end of this year. There’s no excuse not to spend some money this off-season. If we don’t how can you expect Poch to stay?
Delusional fantasy, journal entry #1,882: IF United beats Liverpool this weekend, and IF we win all of our remaining games (including v LIV and MNC) THEN we win the PL.
Harry back practicing today so he should be available potentially this weekend and moving forward. Hope Dele gets back in the next week or two.
