I’m not really sure why we are sticking with this shape. I’ve never seen us with what appears to be such a tactical disadvantage like this. I would like to see us go to 4 in the back, drop sissoko and bring in Son for Sanchez.

Jan’s getting up there in age and deserves to win something, which isn’t going to happen here. He’s been an amazing player for us and deserves so much better. Lloris is just shit. He’s always has his lapses, but this was a joke. Horrible distribution lead to the first goal and then he gifted them the game. If this was Gomes there’d be a riot but Hugo always gets a pass.
Definitely. He can play a role for us. Hard to find people as big, strong, fast, and hard working as he is. He’s a terrible finisher and struggles when he has to pass more than 15 yards, but as long as he plays within himself he’s pretty good. I don’t think any of us expected him to actually score when he had that shot. And he was trying as hard as he could to pass to Son. But Virgil was smart and denied it.
That play was much more about Virgil being fantastic than Moussa screwing it up. He has to put that on target, but he desperately wanted to get the ball to Sonny and Virgil cut the lane and didn’t allow him to get it on his right foot. He was otherwise one of our best players once again today. He’s not someone to build the center around, but he’s got value for sure. I also think Quick was being sarcastic with his question, and I was in no mood to respond.
I felt so bad for him. He knows he’s not great with the ball and all he wanted to do was get the ball to Son. But in the end he had no other option than to shoot.
Yeah, I’m truly gutted for him. Apparently there have been some pretty disgusting comments on his social media post game. He’s seemingly a great guy who has really blossomed this season. Hope he’s able to bounce back.
1 point in Kane’s last 6 premiere league games. Think we’ve scored only once in all of them, too. Just unreal. We played a much better second half today, but still squandered chance after chance in front of goal and succumbed to yet another late individual error. Frustrating to say the least. Kane is currently our best (only?) playmaker, and he’s dropping back far more, and far further, than he should. It’s unrealistic to think we can find a second striker this summer to play with him, but it’s also no given we’ll find anything worth a shit in the midfield, either. No clue what the offseason plan is going to be, and surely it’ll be partly contingent on our final finish. But this team has regressed remarkably quickly, and we’re going to have to bounce back immediately or get left in the dust.
Get Sonny in there to play him next to Kane. If we’re going to finish top four the DESK is going to win it for us. We’re not winning at City but honestly need to and should win the rest. A bunch of bottom half teams with all but one at home. The new stadium will hopefully give us a boost too.
I have no desire to see any our full backs play ever again. Dele, Son, Kane, Jan (just for the memories) and Sissoko are the only sure fire ones that I want for next season. Eriksen has dipped a lot the past few weeks. The rest I either don't care one way or another or can go through the door marked "do one"
