We've got nothing to lose. No one expected us to get this far and no one expected us to win this draw with all our injuries. Even with the lead I expect Ajax to come out firing in the first 10-20 minutes. Get through that without giving up a goal and we've got a shot. I agree with skrouse in that Sonny is my one hope. Lucas will run his ass off but isn't really able to score goals against competent teams. Dele has been shit all year so I'm not expecting anything from him. Maybe Eriksen will bring his A game being at his old stomping grounds. Also need a great game from Sissoko to help control the midfield. We've got a chance but like in pretty much all big games I wouldn't bet on us.
They can absolutely do this. Any game can be "the" game where Lucas/Dele come good. Sonny and Sisso we already know are up for the task. They've proved they can win big games without Kane. Just pray for no injuries and good refereeing. I really hope Llorente isn't starting
Yeah no Llorente starting. Having him and Lamela off the bench will be nice considering we had zero offensive subs available in the first game.

I thought Wanyama may be an option but he was awful in the last Ajax game. He has to have a much better game.
As awful as he was against Ajax Dier looked even worse against a shittier team last weekend. If needed later on we could move Dele and Eriksen to midfield and bring on Lamela.
I thought he was the worst player on the pitch by a substantial margin. He’s looked close to the old Vic at times this season though, so let’s hope he finds that form.
Yes, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a quick hook if he resembles anything close to last week. He may be there to enforce a bit and then get Dier in. Neither looks great but both are due to have a breakout game. They have both been through long injuries and need to just get back to their old selves.

Pretty fucking shitty knowing this was our best shot at ever reaching a UCL final. Honestly, barring an unforeseen comeback, I’m fine selling just about anyone who wants out. I don’t know if the players put too much pressure on themselves, Poch puts too much pressure on them, they just aren’t good enough, or what, but it’s pretty clear top 4 is the ceiling for this group and nothing else.
Couldn't track his man on a corner for the first and then "got kicked" in the face so he was completely absent for the second, forcing Toby to drift wide and a lot of space for Ziyech to move into and curl one to the inside of the far post.
i think this team just needs a break son has been playing non-stop, as have most of the world cup guys.
