Yeah, he will say that until the day he is shipped out. If he says he isn't in the plans it would only weaken our position in dealing with other clubs. Like the whole Costa situation with Conte.
Harry kicked a 50 yard field goal in sneakers today. I could see him moving to the NFL for a few years after he retires from soccer at Tottenham at age 35. https://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnati...yard-field-goal-nfl-new-york-giants-preseason
It's a friendly dude. At the end of the game Roma was playing with a guy out of position that hasn't ever fully recovered from a brain tumor Castan and the worst footballer on earth in Juan Iturbe.
In terms of things that I saw of note... I thought Winks really looked good especially coming back from the injury he had. He is going to be a good player and he needs to see the field. He had one poor play late the game but otherwise he is quick with skill and he never quits. The kid Georgiou had some good moments. He was a spark for sure. NKoudou was hit and miss. Had some really bad moments, but his assist was well done. Kyle walker Peters is just not there yet and neither is Cameron Carter Vickers. Davies just exudes class compared to KWP and is very underrated in the squad. Wimmer needs to go. I think he is a much better player than he has shown since last year but he has lost confidence and gets caught flat footed too much. I think he needs to resurrect his career elsewhere and he will be good.
I've been on the N'Koudou train for awhile now, I really think he will break out this season. That burst of pace and pinpoint cross to Janssen was superb. He just needs to find a bit more consistency but the talent is there. I was glad to see Vinny convert the chance as well. Both should improve substantially in their 2nd year with us. Sissoko on the other hand..
I must've missed that merch spot - the place I went was selling them for $100. I'd also recommend getting merchandise early - they were running out of size L in some of the shirts.
I'm flying in to Nashville tomorrow and leaving on Monday. texasraider is also going I believe. SugarShaun and a handful of the city guys too.
I'm flying in tomorrow with two Arsenal friends. They're interested in seeing some top lads for a change
Will be driving up from ATL Friday after lunch and heading back late Sunday. My brother lives in Nashville, and I'm pretty familiar with the city, so I'll do my best to answer any questions.
Mourinho said yesterday that we've had a great window and actually seemed to have meant it. Today Conte tells the press if he could have bought one striker it would have been Harry Kane, which Morata must feel pretty good about. So at least we have that going for us.
I'm not sure if it was because I was watching in person or because we have changed formation, but trippier and KWP may well have been wingers. Trippier in particular was rarely back on defense. He was often times the most forward outside player. KWP seemed to lack confidence.
He looked good in training in Orlando. Bulked up and looked like he really belonged with the first teamers. Was less impressive in the actual games.
I like shiny new toys but I also totally agree with Levy's approach. And Levy added that Spurs are looking to utilise the club's youth academy prospects as much as possible. "Our position on transfers is that we have a coach who very much believes in the academy, so unless we can find a player that makes a difference we would rather give one of our young academy players a chance," he added. "The academy is important because if we produce our own players we don't have to spend £20m or £30m on a player.
I'm an instant gratification type of person, but there something to be said for seeing an Alli, Kane, and Dier rise to stardom when you never counted on them to do anything for you.
