Never in doubt. Dele was balls in the second half, so so wasteful. I miss last season's Dele. Aurier should have better awareness. Sissoko is okay in CM but looked bad in defense, completely lost Chicharito on that first WH goal. Somehow, reddit is half-convinced that Carroll was obviously fouled on that swan dive around the 90', obviously not.
Really can't get over how fucking good Llorente was after coming on. He masterfully killed the end of that game.
Dele looked better today with his passing but is still slow with the ball infront of goal. Shoot the fucking ball. Aurier is soo good and was a genious purchase but that second yellow was idiotic. Toby and Jan's class is so evident compared to other cb's and Davinson is already solid but clearly going to get better. If we could play all our games on the road we'd win the league.
Champions league is Tuesday this week, on the road vs. APOEL while Real Madrid visit Dortmund. We need to win both APOEL matches to give ourselves the best chance of advancing. Hopefully the other match is a draw or Madrid win.
Dele's runs were good, other than that meh. Kane's 2nd goal should have been off a Dele assist imo, not a rebound. Then that late run where the last defender just poked it away. We need him to be smart and creative with the ball if we want to be taken seriously in any major comps, not the dude who we've seen so far this season. I know it's only 5 points but i feel like the league title would require a collapse from the Manchester clubs and Chelsea for us to realistically compete. Down to cups for Spurs, if we made it to the last 8 in CL I think I'd be pleased. And maybe an FA cup final again. And obv top 4. U guys agree or am I too pessimistic? Serge's passing and creativity are fantastic, agreed a great buy. Take him over Walker all day. If we make a CL run we'll need him helping to create goals, which mean we need him on the pitch, no silly RCs.
I'm not worried about who's infront of us in the league, just want to get as many points as possible from our games. Finishing top 4 is the most important goal this season because if we don't we will start seeing players leave. Hopefully get out of the group in champions league as well but that's a tough one With our draw and even if we do who knows who we get in the next round. Do well in the cups if we can but I'd play backups in all those games until we get pretty deep into them.
