Kane slimming down a bit will help him immeasurably this season imo. He was a step slow so many times last season, we saw the difference that first step makes today already.
Winks had a really nice game yesterday, and I think he might be the guy that benefits most from Ndombele. That slide tackle was a thing of beauty.

You're my buddy and not trying to fag up your thread but City were absolutely terrifying vs West Ham and you needed the whole 90 minutes vs a relegation level team at home. Plus they've won like 15 straight. Praying they get a CL ban as they deserve it for their bullshit. I'll make fun of your team not getting any trophies but it's more admirable what you've built than what City has done. Sugarshaun won't like another post of mine for at least a month after this.
I mean... we did get past them in the CL quarters. We will probably lose given what I saw from both sides the 1st week, but it’s not like Spurs don’t have some sort of puncher’s chance. Spoiler we gon lose 4-0
Honestly think we have a chance against anyone in Europe outside of Barca. After last years CL quarters there’s no reason we shouldn’t go in hoping for a point, at least. Obviously they’re better than us, but we played them 4 times last year and were in all 4 games. All 4 games were decided by 1 goal.
Spurs were losing to villa in the 75th minute 3 days ago. They were 5th in the championship last season Maybe wait until after the city buttfucking this weekend before making such proclamations
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...5361.html?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app Nothing groundbreaking here. Basically says we’re trying to work out a new deal, and if that doesn’t happen he’ll be sold before the window closes.
shit i just want to finish better than 17th. if we get relegated i won't be upset. winning matches in the championship is more fun than trying to finish mid table
Leeds plays someone named Salford City at 1:45 cst on ESPN+ in a League Cup match. Hopefully Clarke gets his 1st appearance. Kinda disappointed he hasn’t played yet.
Ndombele battered City in the CL group stages with Lyon last season too. He could be key to the match. I am not predicting a win but there is nothing to say we can't go there and get all 3 points. If anyone in the league stands a chance it is us or Liverpool. Would feel way better if we were healthier, obviously.
We just lose so much of our counter-attacking punch without Sonny. We certainly don’t have the depth City do, but I think we showed last year we aren’t going to bow down to them. Our midfield is improved, we have Harry back, and we’re a good fucking squad. To dare is to do as they say.
I hope we go 3 in the back as well. With a back 4 we would need Dier to play the 6 because Winks isn't good enough defensively to play there against City. Also with a back 4 our fb's would scare the hell out of me against City's wingers.
I am trying to remember the Champion's League second leg. Didn't start three in the back and then realize we needed wide players? Struggling to recall.
I’d prefer 4-2-3-1, which I think is clearly our best formation though Poch disagrees. Loris; Rose, Bert, Toby, KWP; Dier, Ndombele; Eriksen, Lamela, Sissoko; Kane Dier gives us tactical flexibility to drop into a back 3. Sissoko provides defensive cover on the right for KWP. Lamela is a pressing machine. Eriksen has freedom to roam and pulls the strings. Kane bangs in goals. Have a very strong bench with Winks, Lucas, and GLC.
I agree 4-2-3-1 is our best formation but I'm not sure it's our best against as good of an attack as City, especially with no Son. Owsley's lineup would be really good defensively but Lamela and Sissoko would give us little to no attacking threat. Maybe smart to start off defensive if we can have Lucas and GLC on the bench.
GLC is a part of the squad that traveled to Manchester this weekend. Hope we get to see him this weekend.
#THFC: Lloris (C), Walker-Peters, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Rose, Winks, Sissoko, Ndombele, Eriksen, Lamela, Kane.
Don’t like not starting Jan. Ndombele on the wing is weird. We’ve got attackers in the bench if/when we need them.
It amazes me how unknowledgeable so many of the broadcasters and media are about Anyone but the Manchester teams. Was listening to the pregame on the radio and they said Spurs side is weaker than last year while City has gotten stronger.
Deserved to be losing as we’ve been horrible. Sissoko has done a terrible job of tracking back, been leaving KWP on an island.
