http://www.eplsite.org/stream6.html Just saw it is on some channel called Universal TV, whatever the fuck that is.
Never thought I'd see the day we possessed a plus 57 goal differential in the league, fuck we have been good this year. This will make it 12 wins out of 13 matches to end the season, bottlers my fucking dick.
Harry Kane just hit 29 goals in 29 league matches. Outside of Ronaldo and Messi in years past, you don't often see a return of 1 goal per match or higher, especially in the PL.
Good year. I think if before the season you told me: Kane would be out 3 months Toby would miss 11 games with a back injury Lamela's last game was in October Rose doesn't play the last two months of the season Janssen would be a Dutch Soldado Moussa Sissoko is a thing Harry Winks would be Dembele's primary replacement for a two month period of time I'd assume 6th place. Maybe The FA cup run was ok, even though it was a powderpuff schedule. Champions league was disappointing. The knockout in Europa was disappointing because I think barring that Dele red, Spurs run wild, but I'm ok being knocked out of that competition. And who gives a fuck about the league cup. The premier league run was amazing and awesome to watch week in and week out. Kane, Son, Dele, Wanyama, Jan and Eriksen had fantastic years. Dier, Hugo, Toby, Moose, Harry Winks, Danny Rose, Ben Davies and Kyle and Kieran were solid throughout. Only really disappointed with Moussa and Janssen. Fantastic year.
9 champions have scored fewer than 86 points. Twice 86 points won the league but I didn't see the GD those seasons. Also there were three seasons that 42 games were played.
It is whatever, it wasn't enough to win this season which is what counts. How good has Sonaldo been this year though? We could say that about almost everyone on our squad probably, but he had a shaky start last season and never really got going. With another year under his belt he has turned into a fucking force. His pace opens so many things up for the rest of the attackers. The drag back for the final goal is just absurd.
Time to start Rosterbating Lets start with likely outs Wimmer Sissoko Walker Lamela (?) I'd only include Lamela because I have no idea how basically a year out will affect Poche's thinking. I think anything over 15m GBP gets Sissoko out the door. With the Bentaleb transfer being somewhere near 20 million GBP, even with the drain building a stadium has for this year, I feel there is the possibility of one or two big signings
We have seen on multiple occasions how much better players perform during the 2nd season under Pochettino. That is why I'm hesitant to completely write off Sissoko - though if we get an acceptable offer he will probably be moved on. Wimmer has been a good soldier and not made any noise, players on the team clearly like him. He is going to need to start playing more first team football though so he will probably go as well. I'd have Wimmer and Walker right now as the two most likely outs. With Lamela we really need to figure out what is going on with his hip issues, if he is going to be able to start next season healthy I see no reason to sell him. He was just coming into his own and his value will be lowered after missing so much time. Levy doesn't tend to sell low.
We have to sign another striker. Yes, Dele and Son are great, but we still need an out and out goal scorer if/when Harry picks up a knock. It'd also be nice to have cover for Eriksen.
If we're going to be competitive across 3 competitions, we have to find a better striker off the bench. Easier said than done, I know.
Only strikers I've seen us linked with lately are Patrik Schick from Samp and Josh King from Bournemouth. We haven't had much luck with players settling from foreign leagues in their first season so I think King might be perfect for our needs. He has proven he can score in the PL but isn't so good that he is above coming in to back up Harry. That is a delicate line to walk when looking for quality reinforcements in that position. 16 goals for Bournemouth isn't too shabby.
Can we also take a moment to talk about how freaking good Davies has been down the stretch? Don't forget he plays in a back 3 for Wales too - a lot of versatility even if he isn't quite the marauder Danny is.
Yeah I was thinking about that a few weeks back. After a rocky start (which is understandable) he has been an absolute stud for us. He has always been a fairly solid defender but his combination work down the flank with our attackers has been quality. That ball to Wanyama vs. United was class. I was really glad to see both him and Toby get their first league goals of the season today.
Completely agree but I think we should s couch that in the fact that Mane owned Davies like Bale v Inter in the the taxi for Maicon game.
We aren't going to be able to replace him with someone of his quality for the price we will get. His value is at an all time low now, he is worth more to us as a player. Nobody will take a big chance on him until more is known about his timetable for a return anyway. If he can replicate the form he was in to start the season for us then he will be a huge asset to the team next season. You should recognize the potential of a LANS such as this.
I know it's not going to happen, but I wish we could keep dele forever. So much talent and he's just getting started.
I know we didn't win it this year, but I couldn't be happier with this team and it is hard to have regrets or look at the season and say we blew an opportunity. This was far and away my favorite Spurs team since i have been a fan and they just absolutely destroyed teams and got better as the season progressed. I just wish the season wasn't over because it was that much fun. 2016-17 European Golden Shoe Standings: May 22 Player Goals x Constant = Points 1. Lionel Messi, Barcelona 37 x 2.0 = 74.0 2. Bas Dost, Sporting CP 34 x 2.0 = 68.0 3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Borussia Dortmund 31 x 2.0 = 62.0 4. Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich 30 x 2.0 = 60.0 T5. Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur 29 x 2.0 = 58.0 T5. Luis Suarez, Barcelona 29 x 2.0 = 58.0 7. Edin Dzeko, Roma 28 x 2.0 = 56.0 8. Dries Mertens, Napoli 27 x 2.0 = 54.0 9. Edinson Cavani, Paris Saint-Germain 35 x 1.5 = 52.5 T10. Anthony Modeste, FC Cologne 25 x 2.0 = 50.0
Not sure if my math is right, but I show that Kane has averaged one goal every 113 minutes in the Premier League over his career to date and one goal in 87.45 minutes this season. Those are insane numbers for the Premier League.
Coefficient for shittier leagues I guess? PSG gets x1.5? But I wouldn't put the Portuguese league (LIGA NOS?) on par with the other tops, and no better than Ligue 1.
