How is the worst player in the NBA (proven fact by stats) winning awards? Is he the only rookie playing in the east?
If you lack the size and/or athleticism to get to the rim and do damage there, going bombs away from deep is all you have left
Makes sense. I shoot about 44% from 3 at the gym so it drives me insane when poor shooters shoot that much

I should say he’s improved. Started out scared but he will attack the basket and has a good feel for it. Not a concern like why his 3pt shooting is so low.
He's 55.4% at the rim, which is under 3 feet, according to basketball reference https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/y/youngtr01/shooting/2019
It's also misleading because it includes guys who have played like one game and other guys who wouldn't qualify for any of the per game leaderboards.
Basketball reference does not provide that from what I can see, but Kemba Walker was below 55.4% at the rim for his first four years in the league.
Update: it is now 91. Additional fun stat, only 27 players have attempted more 3s this season than Trae.
Straight field goal % can be misleading for guards but when your high on the season is 41%, that seems like a bad sign
I’ve likely been a hawks fan far longer than you. And just because I think TY is at best a useful 6 man and Luka is a transformative star doesn’t mean anything about my fandom. I bitched about getting nothing for Al and Paul and bitched when we traded Luka for Trae and what will be a pick isn’t the teens TLDR; fuck you
Those actual nba players are likely depressing his stats down to a pedestrian 13 ppg, as opposed to one man team Trae's gaudy 15 ppg
