FYI, they're touring the US with their road show. http://www.trailerparkboys.org/forums/index.php/topic,10986.0.html?PHPSESSID=914e4d3921527fed0cdde690ed3bc78d I want to go to the one in Charleston, but it's a Tuesday night. Stupid grad school. :( Might go to Charlotte instead. Also, Bubbles in Afghanistan: http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/TopStories/20110701/last-canada-day-for-troops-in-kandahar/
I know the sequel is on Instant Streaming for Netflix but I can't find the first movie... Do I have to mail order this? "Knock knock boys...fuck off"
Anyone know which episode Phil let's it be known his name is Philadelphia Collins? Really want to watch that again.
They also are currently doing an AMA on Reddit... http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/ioq9l/we_are_the_trailer_park_boys_ask_us_anything/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7D36Pwb6kY "JESUS, HE TOOK MY BAT!" I don't know why, but I love that line so much.
Saw the show 2 weekends ago in downtown Orlando... Fucking awesome skit and guys were Fucking drinking and talking shit the whole time. Julian interupted bubbles halfway thru the show and started selling $10 hotdogs to the crowd... Funny as Hell. People would walk up and try to slip him a 2-3 dollars and he would tell them to fuck off and SIP some of his rum & coke... Up, up in the sky.. man I was so high.. but laughed lots. Cool story brosef.
Love Trailer Park Boys, have started rewatching the entire series on Netflix. I just realized that Ellen Page played Lahey's daughter Treena, kind of funny.
"A lot of people say you can’t smoke dope and get drunk when you have kids but that’s not true, you can. You just gotta get up in the morning. That's responsibility" God I love Ricky. I think that was the great episode they lost the chicken and he made another comment like "I failed grade 6, was drunk half the time and smoking dope, but that's neither here nor there"
Ricky plays a great dumbass. I just watched the episode where his faulty wiring burnt down Bubbles' shed, classic shit. Bubbles vs. Sam is great too, fighting over him leaving hot dogs on the ground and making his kitties sick.
2 of the best television characters of all time are named Bubbles. If you want to have a successful series these days, naming a character Bubbles is a good place to start.
Just watched most of season 4 today, so ridiculous. I spit out my drink about 4 times due to a couple of classic Bubbles lines. Ricky comes flying up in his car after Barb proposed to him - "Holy Fuck Ricky, you come in there like Seabiscuit. Don't you even worry about your brakes anymore?"
Was flipping channels the othe week when I saw bubbles on tv. I recognized him from dallasdawg 's avatar, so I started to watch. It was their second movie. I lost my shit, found it on Netflix and I've been hooked. Haven't finished all of season 1 yet, but the show is gold.
the show is better than the movies I think. I've only seen the first movie, but I heard the second was pretty similar. the show is ridiculously awesome
the 20 something minute episodes are perfect. movies seemed too drawn out. they did the first movie before the shows I believe
Me being black, I've never watched this show, let alone heard of it. But I just watched that 6minutes of the Best Of Phil Collins, and I think this show looks awkwardly funny as hell.
Hey man, there are black characters on the show too. Netflix has the entire series so you can watch it on there if you have it. This show is just hilarious as hell, a man of any color could enjoy it IMO.
Yeah it's worth checking out for sure. Season 1 starts off slow building the characters (Bubbles voice, etc) but by Season 2 you're hooked
The scene where Bubbles gets his cart for the shopping carts and is just driving around happy as shit made me lose it. Bottle kids always gets me too
the theme song is catching too. first watched the movie on netflix than proceeded to dl the entire series on pb. now entire series is on netflix and the wife it hooked.
I liked the movie, don't remember it all that well but wasn't any different than the shows. If I sit down and watch it I'm not stopping at 1 episode and the movie was pretty much just 4-5 episodes put together.
I haven't watched any in months (seen the whole serious numerous times), but damn I'm tempted to watch some tonight.
I work at a concert hall and the stage manager went on tour with them like a year ago and said that these guys drink more than anybody they have ever seen. Esp Bubbles
I haven't watched any shows in a year at least. This thread is making me wanna go watch some right now. Hi there, I haul shopping carts out of ponds for a living. That ain't gonna fuckin work
starting to watch it on netflix really enjoy it...on the episode where they're planning the rap concert
Their Canadian accents are funny by themselves. Add all the stupid things they do and it's way funnier.
Fucking Rickyisms are great. I was talking about a client we have that's pretty stupid and told my boss "he's the kind of guy that says 'supply and command' and thinks he's the smartest guy in the room." My boss didn't get, but then on a conference call later that day, the guy fucked up some business saying and my boss had to mute the phone because he was laughing so hard. /coolstory
Just got to season 7. I've decided I've got to watch it all again to catch all the other shit that I missed. Hardest I've laughed so far though was when Bubbles was giving Phil mouth to mouth and Phil burped in Bubbles' mouth. The look on his face, then Bubbles saying "jesus phil, you big gurgling bastard" got me big time.
