I agree with this. It's so far down the pole on things to worry about that it doesn't need to be discussed until the situation arises. It's not a hot button topic or something that would sway my vote, but I think i expressed my thoughts above. It's a completely overblown issue overall.
We’re of fairly similar minds on this I think, and what makes it hard is the feeling that a reasonable “third” take ought to be pointed out. But the whole point of their doing this is to force us to talk about something relatively silly and ultimately very nuanced instead of everything else. It’s all just distraction

the new KC terminal also has quiet rooms for neurodivergent folks, sensory rooms for autistic people, adult sized changing tables, a kids play area designed to be accessible for kids of all abilities, and a full scale mock-up of a plane with a simulated boarding process so people who have anxiety about flying for the first time can get a preview of what it’s like. it’s arguably the most inclusive airport in the country, they killed it

This is what I don’t understand when it pertains to all this nonsense about transgender people in sports, they act as though transgender girls are the only transgender people out there. Somehow I think the people who are screaming about protecting women sports will freak out when a transgender man has to compete against cis women/girls.
Same reason they think it’s awful when an adult molests little girls, but think it’s awesome when a female teacher bangs her male students. “Protecting our little girls” illicits a more emotional response. So much for mens rights!
I don’t know exactly how to explain my reasoning but I’ll try. As glimmer pointed out misogyny is hella of a drug. But,. I also think it’s tied to racist roots. Protecting women (generally white in these videos( against the other is always something that stands out to me. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but that’s my opinion.
