So my SIL was telling my wife how she had to shut her husband up about some anti-trans bullshit. He will go down some conservative rabbit holes online and said something about something they were watching with a trans woman on it. Some reality show and he didn’t want their son watching it (he’s 1) because he didn’t want him to see it. She’s a psychiatrist at the VA and has several trans patients. She basically said he needs to get his head out of the internet and shut the fuck up with all that nonsense. She said they aren’t “shoving it in anyone’s face by simply living their own life”.
Never. They’ve been together for like 20 years. Started dating in jr high or something and only ever been with each other. She wears the pants and will check him when he goes off on one of those tangents. As she should and he comes around and realizes he was wrong.
He’s not one of those people who will die on a hill for something. If he goes down one of his rabbit holes of conspiracy shit or whatever and you call him out on how that’s all bullshit he will agree and say it’s some bullshit.

I work for a national student organization. Got a phone call today from an unknown number from North Carolina. Guy left a voicemail angrily asking me to call him back. I call him back thinking it’s something in relation to our upcoming competition/conference. Nope; he was very upset that our organization posted something on social media in support of pride month. “Did y’all post anything about Christian students?” “Did y’all not see what happened to Bud Light and Target?” “I’m going to stop supporting your organization, and I’m going to start a nationwide boycott!” This man is a teacher. He refused to tell me where he worked, but I looked up his name in our registration system. Just so fucking sad and infuriating.
