I didn’t study the contract and see if any were future guaranteed roster bonuses or anything like that but if you looked into it I’ll take your word for it.
If the Cardinals were a few pieces away from contending, I could see it. I agree it would help Rosen's growth but AB's age would prevent me from giving up the 33rd pick for him.
If he were 2-3 years younger, it would make more sense. He'll be 31 in July. He has 2-3 more elite years imo. I dont think the Carindals will contend in that timeframe.
Disagree, the Rams, Niners, and Seahawks are all better set up than the Cards are right now. I’m not sure if there’s a clearer cut bad team than the Cards in the west right now.
I mean, other than cap space, draft capital, and a cheap QB contract... yeah, it's an unmitigated disaster. If Larry retires, Christian Kirk is the only guy we have that even looks like he belongs on an NFL team at WR or TE. RB situation is good, but the OL is an unfixable mess. Horrid mix of old and expensive and young and shitty. Defense has some great pieces but also major holes at every level, after a year spent playing a style that made no sense given what we did have on the roster. It's 2 full cycles of draft/FA away from being whole barring a perfect offseason/hiring process(and we can safely rule that out with Keim/Bidwell running the show)
It can be done, look at the Bears, although our D was further along than yours before the Mack trade. The first thing they have to do is bring in the best offensive mind they can find to work with Rosen and DJ, maybe Lincoln Riley?

Its not comparable. Gruden runs an archaic offense that doesn't stretch the field or consistently keep #1 wrs in his game plan. Antonio would lose his mind being irrelevant 75% of the time That said Gruden giving up 2 1s and several other picks for him would be par for the course
Fuck the Steelers. Samuels and Connor proved it wasn't just Bell being a stud. No way you could trade off AB at this point. Steelers problem has always been mediocre OL and bad defense.
