Annual report from 4th of July in Marco Island. In a positive trend that started last year, the Proud Boys contingent did not show up. There’s only one asshole walking around with the t-shirt showing Joe Biden in front of a fireworks display wishing everyone a Happy Halloween. He also made sure to bring his Trump floatie. However, try as he might parading endlessly around the pool he hasn’t been getting any reaction (positive or negative) from anyone. That actually brings me joy.

So far, not a single MAGA hat has been spotted. I’m sure I’ll curse myself for typing that out, but it’s a mild surprise. Last year there were still a few. HOWEVER, one group of what appears to be an extended family that all gathered for the 4th here was rocking the “Gulf of America” tshirts. Only one other group of white women commented positively about them and those women went to the gift shop to ask if they had them for sale here. (Fortunately, they do not).

 

Its used in the first season, and probably every season.

I might give Trump a pass on this one. There are a hell of a lot of things that he should know but doesn't. He probably is just that ignorant. It doesn't mean he's not racist just that he's out of touch with reality.

can you explain this inclination to rush to his defense? Truly I really don't understand the brains of people like you. Republicans lie smear and take things out of context and will hammer it 1000 times to make everyone think its true. But libs have this "well to be fair" inclination that they need to fulfill like they need to breathe in defense of truly indefensible people.

Do you feel this like highbrow I'm a reasonable and moral person and republicans aren't when you do that? Not even getting into the fact that you are absolutely incredibly wrong because thats beside the point.

 

His best case scenario of a defense is that he's hung around in circles his entire life where that word is used so frequently by him and others it is just a normal word instead of a slur to him.
