I've thought about this a lot. There's something about the conservative mind that makes it more susceptible to conspiracy theories, fear, and paranoia. I haven’t really followed this story but this is how daycares work. Ours has locked doors and you have to ring a bell and if the staff doesn’t know you they won’t open the door. We have to use the app and tell them my MIL will be picking him up and give them her description and name and she has to tell them her name and the name of our kid.

 

Every time I go to pick him up you have to call them or send a message on the app for someone to come and physically open the door for you. They have a reception desk but no ones is just sitting there all day. They’re helping take care of the kids in the classrooms. I usually go get him at 2:30 so there’s never anyone there. You go from 4-6 they have someone but they won’t let you just come in. Hell, you have to enter a code to open the door to go to where the classrooms are and they will not under any circumstances give you the code.

That’s how ours is. If I go at 2:30 I know it’s the end of nap time and that the staff is off doing stuff cause it’s not a normal time that most parents pick up. I can ring that bell 50 times but it’s easier just to message though the app so one of his teachers will come and let me in. Normal pick up hours they’re usually out there cause they have the kids outside playing or something so a staff member and the owner will sit at the reception area
