My hometown was over 50% under water, I just talked to a friend who is having his first kid and finished his basement because he is helping raise her 3 kids. His basement is destroyed. I’m hoping the president’s lack of giving a shit opens some eyes to them. I’ve had a cousin who is evacuated, and several other relatives, my dad’s business got hit hard. Trust me, I want to yell at all of them saying, ‘see this is what the fuck would do. He already fucked you with his stupid tariff shit, he doesn’t give a shit about you.’ But, at the same time, that’s home and many of these people don’t have flood insurance. It fucking sucks, it gets talked about by with several of us in a personal text thread who also talk in here. What I’m trying to say is I can hate their way of thinking and still have empathy. You best believe I’ll be harping on this train a lot going forward. In fact, I posted the same thing in the climate change thread. You don’t get 3+ months of some of the coldest temps in the state’s history, record snowfall (or top 2-3 overall, depending where you live, even more weird since it’s been so cold) and then get a storm that’s the equivalent of a hurricane that melts all the snow, the ground is frozen so the snowmelt and heavy rain can’t be absorbed by the ground, and immense runoff as a result (along with ice dams causing even more flooding), It’s a historical event, but this stuff happens all the time at this point in this country and around the world, that’s the climate changing, and when outliers start to become norms...well, fuck.

I don't generally go for the fuck them because I try to be empathetic and decent but when you continue to vote against science and science fucks you up the ass, maybe you deserve it. Shit sucks but if you just keep ignoring whats happening around you and voting for more of the same weather events to keep happening and get worse then I cannot fathom up any fucks for these people.

Pretty simple, some times he does stupid shit because he has run only one real campaign under a microscope in his life. Some of what he does right now seems forced and not authentic. He needs more time to hone his skill set, but it’s early enough.
