AZ has full paper ballot voting, though machine countable, with the early vote option to anyone that requests it by mail(I've been full mail voter for a few years). Those have to be in by election day, so the ones mailed late last week or early this week, are being counted now. The others were early voters that didn't mail them back in and dropped them off at polling places

I think some states don’t count absentee or other ballots unless the margin is under 1% so these close races mean they actually get counted this time.

 

How demotivating is that? Even in a loss, I want my fucking vote to be counted.
