David Brock suffers heart attack By KENNETH P. VOGEL 03/22/17 03:27 PM EDT David Brock, the self-described reformed right-wing hitman who reinvented himself as a leading operative on the political left, is recovering from a heart attack he suffered early Tuesday morning, according to a statement from his chief of staff. Brock had the heart attack while working in the Washington office of his non-profit groups Media Matters and American Bridge, and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he “received prompt medical treatment,” according to the statement from Bradley Beychok.
I hope Brock makes a full recovery. But I never want him influencing Democrats again. Buy a nice piece of land, some big fucking chickens, 4 dogs, and stay out of the way please.
Maybe that's their master plan all along. Fumble the ball bad enough to turn over policy making powers back to the Dems in 2018 so they can go back to playing the back seat policy blame assigners and get back in power in 2020 or 2022 after the Democrats cleaned up enough of their mess where they can swoop in and take the credit after 2 or 4 years of telling everyone the sky is falling.

I wish I were a better person than this (I don't) but I don't know if anything will bring me more pleasure in this life than Steve Bannon in federal prison. Like, say all of this comes crashing down on the GOP, and Dems go on to unprecedented success and we get things like widespread alternative energy, a civil rights renaissance, single payer healthcare, etc, I will still be most satisfied by the thought of Bannon's routine prison beatings.

Tomorrow seems like a no win situation for the GOP. Pass the bill, even with all these last minute shady deals, and health care will now become their nightmare, which they seem completely unprepared to deal with beyond applauding themselves for a Pyrrhic victory. Soon it'll be a never ending news cycle about all the people who lost their health coverage, saw their premiums skyrocket, or how Trump supporters were among the hardest hit. Worse yet, if they shift the pain to the states as some have suggested they are talking about doing, there will be an open revolt - especially in red country. Don't pass the bill and they will have failed at the one thing they coveted (and promised) the most - a full repeal of the ACA. Hell, even that they won't achieve a full repeal because they're attempting a repeal and replace. Many hard core conservatives are not going to like it, and will not forget they backtracked on their campaign promises. Many others will see this as a byproduct of a lame duck president who as limited political capital and is becoming more radioactive by the hour. In other words, no matter the outcome tomorrow, it would appear Trump and the GOP are fucked. Proper fucked that is.

Off topic and probably a really stupid question but where do bears hibernate? In my head I've always pictured them in a cave hibernating, but that doesn't seem possible that every bear would have access to their own cave. They seem to big to burrow into the ground and it would seem if they just hibernated in the open that you'd stumble across a lot more hibernating bears.
