I trust Americans to do the right thing, but I also know that the GOP controls the ballot box and has the ability to cheat and disenfranchise.
What I mean by that is more Americans will vote for Trump's opponent rather than Trump by a significant margin, and even more will be prevented. Nothing naive about that unless you truly believe for some reason Trump has become more popular. That doesn't mean I don't think he can win. If he does win, I think he does it with the aid of Russia, voter role purges, voter disenfranchisement, and foul play all around.
payroll tax isn't paid on income higher than like $132,000 because it's more prudent to tax low earners also someone tell president t that this will add to the deficit
Not gonna read but Imma guess they just cut the employer piece and nothing for the workers More trickle
That's a great point. This doesn't help the economy. It provides a temporary band-aid for middle and lower class voters so that they don't feel the impact of the recession as much during the campaign and he can continue to lie that the economy is doing better than ever.
So I’m really in favor of gun control, especially any gun with the ability to fire a large volume of ammo in a short period of time, but this Trump talking point about mental institutions and mental health toxicity is really, really, really dangerous. As someone who provides healthcare to a red state and the majority of my patients are young/middle aged men, loudly and negatively stigmatizing mental health issues, ESPECIALLY telling men they will be singled out and not allowed to purchase own firearms, is a really good way to get these guys to not come in to see their doctor and talk about, treat, medicate their mental health issues. These guys aren’t that stupid, if it’s a choice between getting treatment for their schizophrenia/anxiety/depression/bipolar or being able to buy a gun, we’re going to have MORE gun owners without proper mental health care maintenance. A ban on ALL assault weapons, high capacity magazines, etc, or limiting it to those who have history of violence/arrests, is obviously the immensely better choice(s). Mental healthcare in America will only get worse if the rhetoric increases.
It continues to remind me that one day, we will be chastised and scolded by our descendants for how we treat and stigmatize those dealing with mental issues, veterans, and the homeless, most specifically for the intersection of those groups.
I don't think it is a top talking point. Healthcare, climate change, wages, tariffs fit that bill. However, talking about how he is constantly tweeting/watching TV (in lieu of governing), is unstable/racist, and utilizes the office to enrich his family/corruption are worthy talking points that should be utilized in 2020.
Sixteen months from now I'm going to look back at numbers like these and kick myself, either for failing to believe what was right in front of my face or for eating the cheese once again. I pray, pray, pray it's the former.
Shapiro is a grifter of the highest order, which is why he only cares about Israel. Nothing else, otherwise he wouldn’t promote antisemitic violence at home. Big brain here just said he thinks Obama was a radical figure because he wanted to change the fundamental nature of America, but he doesn’t think trump is radical to MAGA back to the 50s. I’d be in favor of deporting Ben Shapiro to any decade pre 1950 so he can go properly fuck himself.
But still, for the “DEMOCRATS IN DISARRAY” crowd, they can stfu. Always. Although the fact that he isn’t up on this who’s who of Dems should absolutely terrify the right.
It's going to be an amazing revelation and pivot once people actually admit Israel is a disgusting fucking regime and the absurd atrocities the world allowed them to get away with.
