It is my belief that so many of our societal problems could be fixed if legislative police powers only included “health, safety, and welfare” and not “health, safety, welfare, and morals”.
No, bigots aren’t disguising their bigotry as morals. Bigotry is the morals of bigots. Sure, morals are a valid guide, but being able to legislate about morality is the issue. It’s what allows bigoted laws to be enacted while disguised as laws about morality. Even when best intended, I believe legislating morality is a fool’s errand and will undoubtedly create more societal problems than it solves. And I think there is millennia of history that shows that true.

"We are losing voters over this issue so we should double down on it" is quite a strategy. Let's see how that plays out for them.
I don't believe that little man It was planned and he delivered his challenge devoid of emotion or passion
If you're planning to quite literally take over the country in a coup it makes sense to just keep going forward which is what they're planning
The level of stupid you'd have to be as a human to donate, vote or even take this group seriously is a level so fucking low on the scale I'd come to the conclusion that you're not actually a functioning human
Lol this guy who is totally tough is still talking about this. O’Brien is from Massachusetts. So markwayne Gacy pulling “in Oklahoma if you run your mouth you get called out” is even dumber.
So viv is brown, young Donald and running against him in the primary. and trumps son and own surrogates are coordinating with him.
Trump "engaged in an insurrection," judge says, but should remain on Colorado ballot In the third failed attempt to keep Trump off a state's ballot in just over a week, Colorado judge Sarah Wallace issued a scathing ruling yesterday that the disgraced ex-president “actively primed the anger of his extremist supporters,” and “acted with the specific intent to incite political violence and direct it at the Capitol... and that the First Amendment does not protect Trump’s speech." And since the 14th amendment says, "No person shall... hold any office... [who] shall have engaged in insurrection," the judge has decided... that Trump can stay on the ballot. Apparently Trump was not only above the law at the time, but above the constitution as well due to a little known but oft employed technicality whereby some judges are too chicken shit to hold powerful men accountable for their crimes.
“My disgraced predecessor” and “disgraced president trump” should be the only way he’s discussed in 2024.
The only elected officials that the 14th amendment doesn't apply to are the head of the Senate and the head of the government. Exactly what the authors wanted when they made an amendment to prevent another civil war.
The talk of Biden and/or Dems slipping with non white working voters is interesting. It also occurred to me these are the people the GOP intentionally makes it harder for them to vote, and I wonder if that has any impact on the election.
