The worst part is that they trotted out “the president can do whatever he wants if he thinks it’s in the country’s best interest” defense and were successful. Imagine a future where you have to explain that a constitution that was able to survive various wars, several fights for equality and numerous recessions, was not able to survive a Trump presidency.
