Two of the officers are now suspended. Buffalo PD originally tried to pass it off as a guy tripping and falling. Pretty shameless. Problem was that the video was viewed 3.5M quickly after it was posted so word got out that these cops fucked up big time and Buffalo is now back pedaling.

States started opening up so some people who were laid off went back to work. Not sure why this is shocking
Was just about to edit my original post with this as well. I’m sure a huge chunk of this is hospitality workers in states reopening, but now they are all probably hurting worse than when they were unemployed.
The problem is a lot of those jobs aren't going to come back for a while since a lot of businesses permanently closed. Certain sectors of the economy will bounce back relatively quickly but theres going to be some long term damage.
In a lot of states restaurants are open so those jobs are back. Those employees are going to see less hours due to lower demand though.
If I hadn’t been brought back full-time I would have been making more money unemployed due to the $600 they tacked on in federal unemployment. Every single person at my last job that returned make less now unless they are management. It in Virginia if you refuse work you lose unemployment benefits so it’s a lose-lose situation no matter what they do. But they would still potentially qualify if they are working less hours.

Now I’m hoping we are getting enough classes in to bank roll us through the end of the year, at least with the loan what revenue we have isn’t having to cover payroll which is our biggest expense by a very significant margin. The pandemic hit during our busy time, which basically runs from March-summer, and that keeps us afloat for the rest of the year as November and December are extremely slow times for the industry. Our revenue began dropping like 90% when the shutdown started.
