I haven’t read through, analyzed it or seen someone analyze it to know if this anti-money laundering legislation actually has some teeth to it but it’s likely a good thing that we strengthening it. Until we see the enablers truly prosecuted though, they have very little incentive not to take the fat bonuses that come with laundering money.

my suggestion is that anyone convicted of a major financial crime be stripped of all of their wealth. If a banker worth tens of millions would be putting their entire personal fortune at risk instead of just the reputation of their bank that they don’t give a fuck about, it changes things.
