So, working back to the Paris Accord, and it's undeniable that Trump's PC was a wholesale lie. I actually read the damn thing to try to take an objective view of things (found here - https://unfccc.int/resource/docs/2015/cop21/eng/l09r01.pdf) and like many other wiser folks said, no mandates exist. The agreement does provide for subsidies for lesser developed countries, but that isn't surprising if we are trying to take a global look at things. It really boils down to optics for the rest of the world, where Trump, the wild gunslinger, eschews the wisdom of the scientific community in order to make the best deal possible for America. I'm unsure if withdrawing really has any effect if we are willing to place our own regulations to help the environment (lol), but would like to be told differently if that's not the case. To me, it boils down to extreme hubris and that threat is real when the President is only willing to think nationally instead of seeing the global problem that is right in front of our faces. To those that continue to support this guy, do you have actual faith that the current Congress will promulgate regulations that help? Right now, it seems like the biggest concern is undoing the work of the prior president which simply moves us backwards. I understand the need to think of our own welfare on some issues, but this is not one of those.
