GOP Operative Says It Hurts White Kids When ‘Kids of Color Feel They Belong’ A Republican campaign manager for school board candidates in a Connecticut town has sparked controversy by telling participants of a virtual education forum that “helping kids of color to feel they belong has a negative effect on white, Christian, or conservative kids.” Mary Beeman put forth that bizarre argument during a virtual education forum where the right-wing boogeyman known as “critical race theory” was discussed, according to local news outlet WFSB. She later sought to clarify her statement, which she admitted was “poorly worded,” and claimed it had been shown “out of context.” In trying to mop up the mess, Beeman said she’d been referring to “students who may have staunch Judeo-Christian values, or simply are conservative thinkers,” and are now being “bullied into submission by their teachers and fellow students with left-leaning ideologies.” Bill Bloss, the Guilford school board chairman, made clear he wasn’t buying Beeman’s excuses for the racist remark, questioning “exactly what context would that comment be positive in.” He has called on Beeman to step down, blasting her remark as “false, outrageous, negative (and) destructive.” I thought libs were the snowflakes?
Someone put a cheap marker colored sign up a mile or so away at an auto body shop that says “Donald trump is the real president of the United States of America”. The next block over there’s a similar sign that says “Please do not take the vaccine it contains graphene oxide toxin”. I wonder if it’s the same person.
Who is writing said history for future generations to read about then current tyranny? Asking for a future friend.
Oh it's definitely happening next Republican administration. The trump group with Rudy and Lin Wood types had absolutely no idea what they were doing and nearly succeeded. With the new state election laws sweeping the country and absolutely no action from congress, our fate is sealed.
On my way home from work, there are homes that still have Trump signs in the yard like the election is next week.
You can think Lebron doesn’t need to shut up and dribble, applaud his leadership after George Floyd, and also think his squishiness around the vaccine is embarrassing. It’s called not using someone as fucking political prop. However, I’d argue the right is actually very good at identity politics and it in part allows them to maintain minority rule.
Lol imagine if this country's biggest "problems" were a bad withdrawal from a pointless war, the umpteenth border crisis of the last 20 years, and inflation (??)
It’s so disingenuous that conservatives think all of (insert race that isn’t white) is some group and that if one of them agrees with anything they do means all (insert race that isn’t white) should think the same way
They sure do love to boil everyone down to 'good' or 'bad'. The 'one of the good ones' statement is their brand for everyone outside of their perceived ilk
From San Diego, the home of the woman who was shot at the Capitol riot, I present to you a 34 year old unemployed MAGA man living with his parents who drove 38 hours to the insurrection and is now being charged. I'd imagine his description fits most of the insurrectionists that were there that day. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.co...ol-riot?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
So, every republican in the world also believes they are an economics expert because it's part of their education process to say every public use of funds (except for hurting people) is bad and will "weaken the dollar." All price increases (under a dem admin) are due to 'inflation,' which is a magic word that's a catch all. If prices were increasing under R admins, its all shrugs. Is water getting harder to source for pistachio farming? Are seafood farms/fishing yields decreasing because of environmental issues that may not be reversible? Are more truck drivers leaving the profession due to age or covid death with hardly any replacement? Is the logistics system even healthy at this point? Wouldnt those raise prices too? If you answered any of those questions, you're a fucking rube dumbass lmao what sort of moron believes in that shit? The answer is dem spending (that hasnt happened yet) = inflation jfc what are they teaching in schools? Probably feels on wheels crt hwizgwcshd
Prospector posted this in The Left thread. Talks about R fiscal insanity and depravity going back to the 70s.
You say that now, but just wait until AIDS ties you up and robs you at gunpoint. What are you going to say then?
MM seems like an interesting guy who probably has basic decency but knows where his bread is likely buttered in Texas so he refuses to really be anything but celebrity McConaughey. Like, how are you that age but don't have any real outspoken convictions if you're talking about potentially running for political office?
Feels like he's deciding whether it's worth it to put himself out there and risk alienating any fans at all. That's why he went with the chickenshit centrist thing.
bwi2 was there any chance our govt would hold someone accountable to the emoluments clause? It’s seems there are many revenue flows that could’ve made the presidency less interesting to trump if that was enforced My understanding is putting things in a blind trust was just a norm.
