Reminded me that Chevron and Accenture had their pride logos last month like every other corporate titan then I saw they were both title sponsors of the texas gop convention where they’re moving to basicallly male being gay illegal in the state.
If you’ve never watched The Boys - yes you do need to watch it. If you’ve watched previous seasons but no this one - yes you do need to watch it, but I can understanding waiting until they’ve all been released.
It’s not really about superheroes. It’s about the rise of fascism in America and late stage capitalism. It just uses the superhero genre to tell the story. Which is pretty perfect.
Luckily that tweet is from last week and that guy has since lost in the primary, and now we're just left to deal with the incumbent Republican lunatic of the much more ordinary variety.
This guys photo all the news affiliates used for the primary had him wearing blue contact lenses. His campaign signs had “God First” as the only thing on it besides his name. I might have accidentally voted for him and I not seen that on the way to my polling place (I voted in the Republican primary because my district is so red voting in the democratic primary would be like picking which lambs get sent out to slaughter. And I really wanted to vote for the joke candidate running against our governor who sexually harassed my mom back in the 70’s). A black white supremacist that wears blue contact lenses for his press photos makes Tim Scott look like Malcolm X.
Good on these guys for filming this but I laughed out loud when he said that law enforcement doesn’t act like that. Maybe he just woke up from a 20 year coma.
Kids being able to eat lunch at school. Parents getting a tax credit so their family doesn't have to live below the poverty level. Pre-K. Getting sick not leading to financial ruin. Billionaires paying some taxes. Totally radical stuff on the left.
The left wanting to give people healthcare and affordable medicine is too liberal. I now prefer the Republican Party who has not become radicalized and stayed exactly the same.
The Missouri senate race is a race to the bottom. The most sane, a term I use very loosely is either the Attorney General who joined the election fraud lawsuits or the state senate pro tempe who believes all the crazy shit, but has tempered rhetoric. Then you have Mark McClosky, Greitens, and Vicky Hartzler who is a Hawley acolyte.
Considering his SEAL background, she’s fortunate that she wasn’t “Canoed” beyond recognition like bin Laden was.
Limbaugh spewed this garbage for 30 years. Saw the quote from Bill Barr that he will vote for the R nominee in '24. Not that Barr cares about anyone but himself, but he used that same line in the interview to justify his tacit support for Trump.
Probably radicalized by The Chaz in Seattle. That will go down as the Pacific Northwest’s version of The Treaty of Versailles. Damn you The Chaz.
I know the significance of all this, but for the sake of the uncultured folks on here can you explain what this all means?
Israel having a tough time deciding whether they want this guy or Netanyahu to be the one to approve bulldozing Palestinians homes
