I don't think Sam Harris has many chud fans after his stance on Trump over the last half decade. He's also not wrong for once in this situation.
I now don’t remember if it was Sam Harris or not. But a few years back a poster on this board mentioned a podcast interview with a former neo-Nazi and I think it was Harris’ show. I had never heard of him before, and was interested in the topic because the guest was talking about how he got radicalized and how he got out of it all. I just remember being really disappointed because the interviewer seemed like a chud and was very complimentary of Ben Shapiro.
He was one of the early 'Thought Leaders' in new atheist movement years ago. He'd make enlighten points about atheism, but really it just turned into a vehicle to be an anti muslim bigot. He was part of the rat pack they called the 'intellectual dark web' Came up the same time as Jordan Peterson, the Weinsteins, Shapiro, Dave Rubin, Rogan got lumped in with them ect. Pretty much the worst of the worse. While still being a shit stain, Harris got out of that circle jerk because it apparently is okay with your standard american bigotry, but a rush towards fascism was step too far.
I want to say beyond the Islamaphobia I remember Sam Seder raking him over the coals because he got into The Bell Curve race science stuff, at least if I remember correctly.
I don't buy that bit about "bringing them over to moderation" at all, but otherwise sure. (I don't think the thought ever crossed their mind because they deluded themselves into thinking they weren't a relevant/organized force)
Bringing them over to moderation is just another way of saying being smart enough to avoid saying the quiet part out loud imo

Yep, for all the people fapping their meat of the wins lately, most of you have completely forgotten that a ton of swing state elections officials have been forced out. We will absolutely see the GOP retake the house because of this, a VRA could have prevented or at least forced reckoning but we couldn't even come close to getting that.
