Thought I read somewhere the drugs in candy myth came from one guy that passed out poison candy to try and cover up killing his own kid.
There’s also that small detail about drug dealers/illegal immigrants typically trying to avoid drawing unnecessary attention to themselves. Killing an entire neighborhood of kids isn’t the best strategy to avoid detection.
