The campaign law they are changing is a statute. The term restriction is in the state constitution. Much more difficult to change the constitution than a statute.
No worries. Apparently the GOP in Florida also changed the law for Charlie Crist to run for Veep in 2008 before the law was changed back 4 years ago.
