I am about to start reading the news for the first time since 9:30 am Thursday. I spent the last 2 days reading the Mueller report and collecting my thoughts. Idk how anyone can believe Donald Trump should be president after reading this. Even if you ignore the many instances of obstruction that Mueller called out, his staff refuses to follow his orders. I’m absolutely floored at the summary Barr put out a few weeks ago. Mueller made it extremely clear they believe the president obstructed justice. It’s taken me several hours to decompress after finishing reading the report and I’m still tense. I’m also extremely impressed by the accuracy of the WaPo and NYT over the past several years. I will certainly continue my subscriptions to both services. There was very little new material information in the report. How angry am I going to be about the Barr press conference and Fox News spin?
I’m hoping the congressional Dems took a similar approach. Spend the last few days digesting the report rather than the media reaction to it, then come out swinging on impeachment on the morning shows tomorrow. Wishful thinking but that’s what should be happening.

A couple items I didn’t see mentioned in this thread that I thought were funny or interesting: Ivanka received an email from a Russian businessman offering the campaign assistance and business support. Cohen followed up and had several phone calls and emails with the gentleman he thought was an Olympic weightlifter. Cohen found out the guy wasn’t a weightlifter either from the Special Counsel or from the Mueller Report. The speech Trump dictated for Sessions to give was hilarious. How he thought that would be received favorably is beyond me. Trump keeping Sessions resignation letter and showing it off to other senior advisors the next day on an airplane is so ridiculous. What was Kushner doing taking a meeting the next day with someone Kislyak told him was a direct line to Putin without knowing who the guy was or preparing for the meeting?
Warren supporters are trying really hard to look down their nose at any other potential candidate and it's weird. I like Warren ftr she's just not who I'd vote for in the primary if it was today.
The post I responded to mentioned congressional democrats, hence why I did not take Castro into account. For the most part congressional democrats are cowards with some of the newer ones being the exception to the rule, that was the point of my post, it was not related to the presidential elections.
Democrats are the adults. Democrats are the moral compass. Democrats legislate. No one needed to prove to me the GOP is worthless, but that persons tweet is a good reminder. Some of the leading cowards are on record from Bill Clinton—they should be roasting Trump’s behavior right now.
