It appeared, to me, that she was still trying to find a way to defend their actions, and she was having major issues doing so. She looks like a complete dumbass and is publicly getting destroyed, as she should. I guess it's easy to say to stand up for what's right and don't accept the assignment, but it's her career on the line, not mine.
That's what I got from it. She was forced to defend a terrible position and got crushed because she had nothing to offer. She wasn't unintentionally bad, she was just bad.

Hearing that phrase on NPR this morning was amazing. Of course the lady from the Rand corporation said this is how the dialogue has deteriorated from both sides and not acknowledging that the US is basically tightening the screws so bad on Iran that they're obviously feeling betrayed and angry and just may not mince words.
If north korea is any indication the next steps are: 1. Hurl a bunch of empty threats at each other 2. Trump and the Supreme Leader become pen pals. 3. Summit 4. We agree to a new treaty called the Iran No Nuclear Pact, which somehow is eerily similar to the original Iran Deal, but also much much tougher because Trump says so 5. We make a bunch of concessions 6. Trump announces Iran is no longer a nuclear threat 7. Iran continues to do everything they have been doing the past year.

Iirc, Iran confirmed that it would be exceeding the levels of enriched uranium outlined in the agreement due to the economic pressure the Trump admin had been applying. Believe that was on NPR, before the drone was shot down.

TV was on the View when I turned it on. In less than 30 seconds Megan McCain deflected about the concentration camps because members of congress haven't been there. And then she went on about how SHE knows torture because SHE has been to a torture facility and we can't compare these camps to the Hanoi Hilton where HER dad was tortured.
