Ilhan Omar's credibility takes another hit http://m.startribune.com/ilhan-omar-s-credibility-takes-another-hit/511152612/
I got what you were doing immediately for some reason, but what you went with is far from implausible given the current timeline.
It was a response to a member saying most Boomers will be in the ground in 15 years. In 15 years 55m out of the 73m Boomers from the chart are still around. In 30 years about 30m of the 73m Boomers are still around. Looks like the maths are your issue not mine. But I understand you are part of the crew that just reflexively disagrees with most anything that doesn’t fit your paradigm, instead of actually thinking.
It should be noted that POC’s saw this shit coming down the pipeline. It was mainly people with zero skin in the game (white males) who said it didn’t matter. Of course it didn’t matter because they’d never become a target.
This is dumb, because if the same people who screamed at the top of their fucking lungs to vote against trump at all costs in 2016 decided to stay home because they’ve lost hope I honestly wouldn’t blame them. This is coming from someone who basically despises assholes like futureman or any other cocksucker who legitimately didn’t think 2016 mattered. Your fucking countrymen begged you for help and you quite literally spit in their faces and chose to set your own home on fire instead. I’m not saying I won’t vote (because trust I am) I just wouldn’t blame anyone in my position who has completely lost faith in this country and the people in it for just not even wasting their time when no one listened to them the first time around.
Read a few pages of this account's tweets. Gee, got any more of these Enlightened Centrists I could follow? This guy's shtick appears to be "I'm just a moderate who doesn't like Trump as a person, but his policies are awesome; And the left is full of insane, angry Commies. But, again, I'm just a moderate." I mean, if you have a lot of close friends who were apolitical-enough not to vote in 2016 but will vote for Trump in 2020 because the left has become too crazy, well...
I mostly ridiculed them for being paste eating morons until last night when I let my rally-attending aunt know she was racist trash and I would be cutting her off completely.
My wife travels constantly, much of the time outside of the US. She’s from Minnesota and can pull off a Canadian accent naturally, so she just goes with that as her country of origin. It’s a lot easier for her than trying to explain all this madness.
% It sucks that it took someone as vile as Trump to do it but I think he has made everyone care now. A lot of people that normally aren't motivated to vote will this time.
Trust me when I tell you there are still a ton of people that honestly don’t give a fuck about any of this
What’s funny is that the more apt use of this argument is for the word socialism or socialist. Literally anything a Democrat does is socialism even if it’s excessively Centrist.
I guess everyone missed “Jews will not replace us” as they marched in Charlottesville or the President hiring anti-semites from the likes of Breitbart.
Conservatives rode on the "i agree with them, and I'm not racist, so they must not be racist either" thing for a while and it poisoned their brains to accepting it as truth for any and all right-leaning allies Ironically, they built an identity around it.
The Lee Atwater quote says it all Atwater: Y'all don't quote me on this. You start out in 1954 by saying, "Nigger, nigger, nigger". By 1968 you can't say "nigger"—that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me—because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this", is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "Nigger, nigger". So, any way you look at it, race is coming on the backbone
Reagan went to the town of civil rights' murders and campaigned about "states' rights." Idk if you can blow the dog whistle harder without passing out.
It’s not that he just went to that town. He specifically chose it to announce the launch of his campaign
Seems like there's more politicians outside of the US that call him out on his racist BS than there are politicians here.
