We’ve been doing that. US Citizens get mistakenly detained for long periods all the time. I forget how many it is per year, but it’s like 100-150 people every year.
The US has been creating terrorist in Latin America for a long time, we don’t just create them we also train them, arm them and support them. There’s no amount of shame that is going to end this practice, even when these war mongers are shamed by bringing their atrocities to light other politicians and the media always come to their defense, case and point Elliot Abrams.
