Ok looking at a 75" Samsung model UN75JU641D...on sale at Costco for 1999. Does anyone have this TV or have any feedback on it?
You and me both - debating between that Samsung and this one at Best Buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung...-4k-ultra-hd-tv-black/5182036.p?skuId=5182036 It's $2200 but has considerably higher ratings than the $2000 version
I'd like to split a single screen into 4 different games. Is this a super complex process? I've seen people post picks in twitter to CNET when bragging about their setup.
Damn, I didn't see that one. I just bought the one from Costco...so I'll let you know what I think when I get it going.
That would be awesome - I may get the Costco version... the main concern for me is that the TV will be going in a room with a fair amount of natural light so I need something with a brighter, deeper picture.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsun...th-high-dynamic-range/5773800.p?skuId=5773800 Any thoughts on this tv? 65” samsung for $1200
Anyone have any input on either of these https://www.cnet.com/reviews/lg-oled65c7p-review/ https://www.nfm.com/samsung-82-class-nu8000-smart-4k-uhd-tv 65” would be for main tv in living room, lots of natural light. 82” would be center of multiple TV set up on basement, medium amount of natural light. Looking for best sports/movies TV, no gaming.
the LG is widely considered the best TV on the market for its size. there was also a post on slickdeals a couple of days ago with a retailer offering it for like $1600 or so.
I just wish they offered that LG in ~70" size. The 77 is too much dough at $9k. Need a basement tv and worried. Currently own 60 inch Panasonic plasma and it still looks amazing. I'm worried most lcd stuff won't look as good and the 65 oled stuff won't be as much of a size upgrade as I need.
Still have 2 Vieras that are so old but they both still look awesome. I want a smart TV but I'm having trouble justifying getting rid of my perfectly good ones.
Thanks for the responses. The Samsung 82”, at Costco they had what appears to be the same TV but the model number was NU800D, rather than NU8000. Have tried to find the difference with no luck. Or is there any?
I have the Samsung NU8000. I have a 65 in my living room and 2 55s in my entertainment room and I love them. Great TV. One big piece of advice I will give you and everyone else though is that Samsung offers really good discounts on that tv through employer perks websites. If you work for a big employer that has one of those, check that first. If you don’t, I might see if you have a good friend who does. I saved $350 each off the sale price on the 55s and almost $500 off the 65 inch sale prices. They basically took an extra 30-35% off the sale prices. That’s the main reason I went with the Samsung.
https://www.samsung.com/us/televisi...um-smart-4k-uhd-tv-2018-un65nu800dfxza/#specs I took a quick look at the specs and didn’t see anything different but I’d study it a bit before taking me at my word on a quick glance. I know that they make different models for specific stores sometimes and Costco/sams club will have different product numbers at times so they can list a lower price without that lower price being there on the main model TV.
devine 55" 4K for $280 https://slickdeals.net/f/11916191-jvc-55-class-4k-ultra-hd-2160p-led-tv-lt-55ma770-279-fs-walmart
This seems like a decent deal. The reviews say it is good for watching sports https://slickdeals.net/f/11887283-s...newreg_curated&src=da_newreg_curated_51059051
Bestbuy has this 65” Samsung on sale for $850. Any thoughts on a better quality tv for around this price? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsun...rt-4k-uhd-tv-with-hdr/6200118.p?skuId=6200118
I don't know specifically, but RTINGS is your friend. YOu might have to switch the models from the drop down, i just grabbed 2 TCL models randomly. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/tcl-r617-vs-tcl-r617/613/613#usage*4854!threshold*0.1
Anybody have any experience with the newer Samsung one remote stuff? Trying to decide on a new 75" mid level screen. Dont need a Qled. I have always liked Samsung. And like the concept of the one remote, just wonder if it's worth the extra $600 to go from Samsung 7100 to 8000 series. Not sure the picture difference is worth it.... But I also have a smaller new LG in my bedroom that I really like the web interface on, and could get a new LG for cheaper than the Samsung.... so TMB, sell me......?
I want to mount a 65 inch tv flat on a corner wall and telescope it out centered onto the corner. The TV weighs under 50 lbs. Anyone have any experiences?
those do exist. 50lbs doesn't seem overly heavy, but you will almost certainly need a friend to help.
I was able to do this with a 50in and it worked fine. I don’t think the weight matters at all as long as the arm is long enough and your mount is large enough! I’ll never have another tv mounted anywhere else, up in the corner like that made it so out of the way and a perfect viewing angle from anywhere in an open floor plan.
I'm in the market for a TV. Looking for something 65ish inches, 4k and all that shit ,and in the 700-900 range if possible. Obv don't need something top of the line. Not going to be buying another Vizio .The one I got two years ago is barely visible now due to backlight issues. Thanks for the well wishes as I now skim through this thread. Also this is basically where I'm at:
I researched it a month ago. It seems like a solid tv (from internet searches and viewing it in store). It’s not top of the line, but it’s a solid tv at a pretty great price in my opinion.
Better than a 6 series TCL 65”? Edit: looks like the TCL has better HDR, which is the maim feature I am looking at.
Not sure if it’s better , but the samsung is $110 cheaper. Also, while TCL seems to be a solid brand, all of my tvs are samsung and I’ve been happy with them so far, so I would stick with the samsung.
If anyone knows anything about this TV then please let me know. Never had a Sony before. I have until Friday to decide on this. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-6...rt-4k-uhd-tv-with-hdr/6201953.p?skuId=6201953
Don’t know shit about sound bars but I suppose I’ll buy one. Please tell me what to order. The place I went to today had a Sonos one for like $700 and I don’t want to spend that much. Edit: romanoff suggested a Sonos Beam and I’ll probably go that route.
Here is the 900e, last year model for 1k. That’s a solid deal. http://www.tvsdailydeals.com/product/detailinfo_704.html?refid=gshop
Don’t buy from this website, they aren’t legit. It’s your classic bait and switch store. They will contact you after purchase saying the tv you bought is out of stock and then up sell you on a different tv (no real discount) and make it painful to get a refund.
So were the E models last year's whereas the F models are this? I'm confused by this but I know he said mine is the 850 and is a new model. Also not sure the difference between 750 and 850.
Didn’t know that in the other site but here it is at B&H for 1200 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/used...MIxsTdkYKe3gIVi8pkCh3fZQwlEAQYAyABEgLa_fD_BwE
I read rtings reviews before buying but the 900 last year was a killer set. 850 is solid too, but not sure you are getting value at 1300 for the 850F over last year 900
