doc is still like top 20 for views and top 10 for subs, his numbers are more than fine. he won't last because he's old as fuck and will eventually just tire of streaming. forsen is also a horrible comparison to use for any streamer save a handful of people like sodapoppin.
25th for views on average https://sullygnome.com/channel/drdisrespectlive 7th for subs https://twitchstats.net/real-sub-count Doc's view #s change when you alter the days but they're trending definitively upwards (look at his jump from 30d to 14). and variety streamers are just different. most of that top 20 sub list, like 80% of it, are single game or single game-type players. you can't use their variety streamer numbers, they wax and wane too much depending on what they're doing. sometimes soda or forsen are doing 12k, sometimes its 25k, but they've got some of the more hardened fanbases so they stay afloat better than a lot of other streamers. check out forsen's #s in comparison https://sullygnome.com/channel/forsen if you want to see a dying streamer, check out summit's #s. he's on his way out and he knows it, which is why he streams a game he hates (Fortnite).
I heard he got caught cheatin' identifying him by his tattoo's and not being around when he was supposed to. That's also supposed internet hearsay but I've heard it in more than a few places and would explain his sudden absence for a few months. I didn't really watch him anyways but I can see why people did.
You guys are suckers if you believe viewer #s, sub #s, follower #s, etc. So easy to game it all and why would Twitch ultimately care because it's just extra metrics that they can report for revenue. Was way worse 5-6 years ago. I can remember viewer #s in the 100k+ range for multiple people. All viewbots of course. It's nothing new in the tech world though.
No, i dont believe any of the top guys have view bots. They dont need them. Twitch is big enough now that they arent necessary.
If viewer #s were inflated like Chinese numbers are then I’d question it, but sub #s can’t be fudged. What bot would give subs? I’m more worried for long term twitch health when Amazon drops free prime subs. Amazon is making this boom possible with the free subs for growth, but wonder how sustainable all these big sub #s are after twitch prime goes away. Then you have companies who are sustaining business models with content produced solely on twitch with sub money. Geek and Sundry/Critical Role comes to mind there.
this is all dumb. I was around for those 100k view bots too but everyone knew they were bots. there's no reason believe current metrics are lies at all and thinking subs are fake is especially dumb and you don't even have a hint of proof to bring towards that anyway. you can openly see streamers talk about their sub #s since it's no longer verboten by twitch.
People have amazon prime, I would probably argue there’s going to be less than 0.0001% of people who get prime just for free subs to twitch. Prime is $99/yr $8.25/mo With this, amazon supports its internal programs like free shipping, Prime Video, Prime books, first reads, and twitch prime. Granted it makes a shitload more on its cut for every purchase of any item on its website, but still revenue source. So you’re telling me Amazon is going to be cool with eternally subsidizing all these streamers with a 30% cut of that user’s prime forever? Doesn’t seem that sustainable of a model, and I would bet the revenue well/handout dries up like YouTube did with their revenue model, and amazon will bank on viewers becoming accustomed to subbing every month and try to lure them into paying $5/mo for their own sub after dropping free prime subs. Jmo
Summit has been playing Escape from Tarkov for like the past 2 weeks. He’s got like 16.5k subs. He’s fine.
I don’t like him much at all, but I’ve been wanting to watch Tarkov and he’s been streaming when I’ve been watching. Been watching Klean some too.
All metrics are lies/deceptive when it comes to tech companies, especially ones that are constantly being monitored by investors. An Amazon company doubly so as the pressure to produce is very high. Subs are not necessarily fake as in made up, but the money is not necessarily organic. Scammers and credit card thieves just being one example of a way the numbers can be inflated (the Prime subs thing another). Could go on for pages writing about this, but the history of faking metrics is not new just Google around.
Can anyone understand more than 10% of what xQc says? Also, he just got a 24 day ban from Overwatch lmao
If you guys don't mind, drop my buddy a follow. He's trying to get to 500 followers and is 11 away. I'd appreciate it and I know he would too.
