Did they announce any details? I imagine with his viewership and subs dropping so much he's trying to get as much money now before he becomes just another streamer again
No official price, but there was a smaller streamer that stated 7 figures for him to move over I assume Ninja is well north of that
Disagree. I don't think the streaming money model is sustainable and he was on a downswing, potentially a giant one.
Other far smaller streamers have already reported 7 figure offers, Ninja absolutely got an 8 figure deal.
It's the number one trending on twitter. I think Microsoft won't be too upset with the uptick in users this will bring.
he was only on a sub downswing bc of how much time he takes off of streaming he was still getting 48k viewers without any events now he's getting a contract that gives him a higher floor for a salary so he doesn't have to worry about taking time off
i wouldn't say ONLY because of that but yeah a sizable portion was still think its by far the lowest risk move for him to lock up the cash now while hes such a high profile name in the mainstream before someone takes his mantle as the crossover streamer or streaming just fades from mainstream view to where it was
Fortnite World Cup winner "Bugha" got swatted while streaming on Twitch. Fucked up https://www.espn.com/esports/story/_/id/27374218/fortnite-champ-bugha-swatted-streaming
posting SushiDragon just because. this is why nobody needs anyone helping run their stream behind the scenes. this dude does all his own stuff and it's like one big fever dream. super entertaining, 100% unique streamer.
I know I am nowhere near as entertaining as Kylebuck is/was but I just officially started livestreaming this week after building my own computer. I play mainly fortnite now but will definitely go into other games soon. I'm also not amazing or anything but you'll mainly be watching for the hilarity that is me. twitch.tv/mr_brc
I figured the game was based on building, and seemed to be way easier on PC. I haven't played since they did their winter update, so I'm very out of the loop.
It depends since my days off are different. This week I’ll be streaming all day Tues and Wed. Tonight too but not until about 8:30pm pst.
So I haven’t played a pc game in literally decades. And I’ve been playing on console for decades so it’s much easier for me. I’ll eventually make the switch over to kbm. Just need to practice for a while because I know I’ll be better on that eventually than with controller.
Big streamers always say play the games you love. So if thats only fortnite, ignore me and keep at it.
I mean I do but I also can’t play it for 12hrs a day alone haha. When I’m playing with friends it’s alright.
Im sure you are well aware, but so much of being discovered on twitch is just being in the right place at the right time. Next time a hot new game comes out, play it. Play through single player games as soon as they launch. Etc etc etc
its not at all this easy. Playing a single player game for a small time streamer might be better a few days or weeks after release, because the big time streamers will be gone and you can fall into the people who were late to checking it out.
Also 99.99% of streamers will never be anything more than small potatoes regardless of games and timing and personality and effort so just enjoy playing games and don’t care about numbers.
I mean yeah, but also the big time guys are going to play when they normally stream, not the moment its released.
Twitch really doesnt have a ton of discoverability built in anyway. Might be a solid idea to make some clickbaity youtubes.
Obviously already following with 2 different accounts. Will hit you up with another next time you're live so I can enjoy your reaction to the name.
Ima start streaming too so if you like your streamers handsome asf but drunkenly disheveled while also being incredibly mediocre at video games, like and subscribe. Ring that bell
