yup. Constantly logged out. Pain in the ass to log in. Smaller streams that were clearly streaming wouldn't show up as live on follower lists. on and on with the buggs.
on the youtube mobile app, can you not just view a list of live streams? Only thing I can find is to view it by game.
Just a glance, but looks like Ninja has received $1000+ in tips in the first 71 minutes. A cool $1,000/hour before taxes/YT cut.
Mixers buggyness was only a small part of it. 90% of people don’t watch Twitch for just one streamer, so moving one person, even the most popular person, doesn’t do much for most people. It’s like if one channel left my TV package. Im not going to switch to another completely different set of channels just to keep watching that one. Even if it’s my favorite, I might figure out how to watch it, but I’m not completely overhauling the rest of my habits because of it. That’s why some people went and watched Ninja and then eventually just forgot about him.
outside of the chat (which i dont use for either platform) i vastly prefer youtube's app. getting background play to work properly is infinitely easier there.
one of my friend's made a solid point what if was a one time stream to use as a bargaining chip with twitch still not sure he would go back there but thought it was interesting
going back to Twitch is dumb for Ninja. he doesn't create viewers anymore really, he'd be siphoning them off others and limiting himself. he goes to Youtube and people are there almost exclusively for him and he gets to be king shit rather than see popular Twitch streamers slowly erode his hold at the top (which had basically happened when he went to Mixer). he's brand-oriented now, it just makes way more sense to do it at Youtube.
I don't disagree but he isnt going to either without another contract so it's just something to up the contract is all. "I streamed and held 130k viewers" is a decent card to play
nobody under 35 is going to be caught dead using FB and it's been that way for quite awhile now. it's a non-existent platform for the 15-34 crowd, FB just exists for Boomers to post pics of grandkids and be racist.
Yes, Boomers ruined Facebook, millennials mostly use Instagram and Twitter, you get than that is Snapchat and TikTok but they also are much more willing to switch quickly to the newest thing and leave behind relatively new platforms.
for the most part 25-40yo use Insta and Twitter and "use" Snapchat/TikTok, the reverse is true for that 12-25 crowd and yes, Millennials and Zoomers don't tend to get hardstuck on platforms like older people do, they're always looking for the next big thing.
The 18-23 have already abandoned Snapchat, I only know this because the bulk of people that work for me are that age. I think you will see more and more smaller platforms that boom and fade with smaller brackets of age groups. Most of these will sell the fuck out of your data because they know they’ll be short lived.
I saw nick replaying that, I don’t get it. Tournament was duos. But were they squaded up even tho they were technically against each other?
I don't play warzone, but happened to stop in seeing it was a top stream. Rules were highest kill count between teams in 2 games. 2 sets of partners on one team.
I don't even watch MoonMoon but fuck me this is funny e: what is this embedding. anyway just click the ghost.
soda got banned for VR Chat shenanigans. also he made this, which reinforces why he's by far my favorite streamer.
Obviously she gets more hate than she deserves but Twitch made it worse by refusing to ban her for so long after a multitude of offenses.
she'd have been infinitely better off if Twitch banned her for a week, for sure. the inconsistency in their punishments is the cause of the anger and Alinity is simply the lightning rod.
I think it's at both because she keeps making mistakes, and Twitch keeps letting her off the hook. Also, she's a girl, so she's going to get way more hate than she deserves because boys are stupid.
Eh, she’s done multiple shitty things. Again, it’s way overkill, but I also wouldn’t say her getting hate in general just fell out of the sky like it has for many other female streamers.
What has she done that’s so terrible? I mean, name something that hasn’t been massively overblown by shitty little boys.
I saw the clip and the cat tasted alcohol and bounced. Shit move but overblown. the hate train is a product of Keemstar calling the dogs on her for minor transgressions. If you find yourself in keemstars corner for just about any reason then reevaluate
Lake of fire. I could see putting a little light beer in a bowl and laughing when your cat tries it and then spits it out. Pouring liquor down an animals throat is fucked.
i've never found this a good argument he used her video footage to profit off of, its kind of a mutually assured destruction thing that streamers don't do but is completely valid to do it
You’re allowed to repost clips on YouTube from other creators as long as you put your own commentary over it. The problem was for a long time youtube didn’t even review the copy strike requests, they would just send them through.
*subject to legal challenge the idea someone could just watch an entire season of a tv show but provide commentary over it being fair use doesn't hold to me
fwiw i'm weird on this, i think if people don't want their content being in keemstar videos for example they should be able to keep it out. he just runs a brigade and harassment gang for profit.
i'm saying pewds could go to court and say its fair use to get it reinstated if its so valuable or important for him to do i'm just conflating modern broadcast things that genuinely need to be ironed out in court vs ones no one would agree are fair use
Not if it’s on a monetized YouTube channel. Fair Use isn’t just a blanket “it’s mine because I added commentary” situation, it’s more nuanced than that, and YouTube tends to side with original creators.
Ok, does that make doing that not shitty? Do people want to go to court every time they get a dumb CS?
make content that isn't obviously a dicey fair use scenario? i genuinely dont care about this situation enough to continue but heard a recap of the whole thing after pewds most recent video on her showing he's still insanely upset so had some frame of reference
Neither is this. I never said PewdiePie was a good person. I never said Keem was a good person. I never said the hate she gets wasn’t overkill. I said she has done some shitty things.
