Don't change your password until twitch confirms they've resecured their system. If your password was already compromised in the leak, they've already got what they need, if they still have access, you changing your password on twitch does nothing. If you want to change anything, change your other online accounts that might share a username or password with your twitch credentials. Fwiw I believe the passwords weren't part of the leak.
Hell yeah, I changed all my passwords to Chrome’s suggested passwords like two months ago so nothing is shared.
passwords havent been confirmed yet but this is also just a partial leak dump, more is apparently coming. should still F2A your shit, though. for the biggest streamers this list probably represents 0% of their take, for medium-sized streamers it's probably 50% and for smaller streamers 70-80%. there is absolutely a tipping point for streamers where subs become comically devalued because sponsors are just worth so much more for a fraction of the time involvement.
that really sucks but his relationship with his mom was bizarre and I hope he can maybe move beyond her now and improve his QoL.
yea, there's a lot to it. not everything was as healthy (mentally or physically) as it should have been.
Sucks. I don’t like YouTube as much as Twitch. Twitch definitely has the better interface but YouTube is where most of my favorite streamers are now.
If you care about seeing chat, the setup kinda sucks. You have to get BTTV extension so that it uses twitch emotes for the chat. (which you should have for twitch as well) if you don't care about seeing chat, it's the exact same (obviously) the only positive youtube thing is the live dvr instead of going to the profile and starting the vod and then having to go back to the live page
if you are subbed, they show up on the left sidebar under your Subs tab with a live red dot next to their name typically when live, they are bumped up to the top of that list if you are not subbed, good luck
I've never been impressed by Ludwig as a streamer so him going to YT won't really affect me but I do enjoy watching Twitch bumble with their biggest stars. chat is their only saving grace right now, I will never follow a streamer to Youtube barring one exception, it's just too shitty of an experience right now.

Hasan being stunlocked for almost a fucking week over this was absolutely hilarious. he will inevitably suffer a serious problem down the road from something he says because someone in chat prodded him and he responded. he just has zero capability in moderating himself and it's always going to end up getting him into trouble. he needs someone off-screen who just hits him with a cattle prod when he gets stunlocked because my god.
someone posted idk tos or by-laws or something and it basically says "zero tolerance racism policy, we will act on every report". this whole thing started because two of his mods got banned for saying the exact same thing in chat, it was essentially inevitably because Hasan basically octupled down on the whole thing and kept saying it. Twitch doesn't care about any individual streamer at all when it comes to some of the bigger no-no's on the site and that one above is probably a very big no-no. Cracker is very clearly (to sane people) not the n-word in power and effect but it's also still a slur so that's all there is to it for Twitch. they're all in on the hunt for PG ad dollars and any racial epithet is out of the question these days. e: yes, the ban length is too much. might see it reduced on appeal.
people are now curious, and I am as well, if this won't force Twitch to curb usage of "retard" (saying it in this circumstance to avoid confusion from "r-word"), a word uttered very frequently by tons of big streamers. Twitch took a stance on this term awhile back and went in the obvious direction of "not OK to say" but seemingly never enforced their ruling. probably as good a time as any for them to step it up in this area.
Use of retard, autist, etc etc should all be looked down upon on Twitch and in daily life. Ableism is no joke.
I’m not gonna get into whether or not cracker is a slur. But if they’re going to just now decide that, a lot of people are gonna get banned for other terms that are on a similar level. The only reason this is a thing is a bunch of shitheads tried to make it a bigger deal than it really is.
Im too online, but not THIS online. How did this become a thing? Did a bunch of chuds form a campaign to report him or something?
2 of his mods used it last week and they got banned for using it that spurred hasan to talk about it quite a bit and whether it's a racial slur, how harsh of a slur it is, etc destiny, a douche, also chimed in with his shapiro-esque shit which prolonged it and it basically just kept being talked about for 4 or 5 days to where I guess twitch decided to act on it for whatever reason
destiny and his cult of weirdos will never get over that hasan blew up and destiny didn't, so they'll continue being psychos for eternity
I thought Destiny was one of the “good guys” who destroyed chuds and made incels realize their heroes were full of shit, and helped a few see the light.
he was for a long time, but hes also been an insane person for a long time. he got mad at people to his left who were more about politics and policy while his positions are philosophically based and he leans on rhetoric a lot. just a stylistic difference that blew up, plus a lot of grievances with hasan personally.
to me he feels like he's on the same path as 'Merica or whoever that auburn poster was he has some left leaning ideas but seems like he gets mad about PC shit and could very easily just go full right wing at any moment
Im not into the streaming or debate bro stuff, but bump up against it enough to see some of the drama. 90% of the time, im completely confused
Destiny lost his partnership for saying So, yeah, Hassan and him are definitely not coming from anywhere near the same ideology.
I really don't have time to actually watch anymore so most of Twitch is background noise for me when I game but I just struggle with Hasan anymore because he gets so stunlocked and it just never ends. I like him in collab content a lot but him by himself in his room just doomscrolling LSF and Twitter is just not for me and at this point I think a lot of his fans tune in hoping to watch him suffer so they contribute to the stunlocks. soda will struggle heavily. him and moon and Aris lol. definitely the best description of him, totally agree. he and Hasan just have very different viewpoints on things although the paths they take often end up at the same place. they're also just very different people, that was a relationship that was never going to last, not with Destiny's edgelord ways always popping up and ruining things.
https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture...erm-white-people-rcna8738?cid=sm_npd_nn_tw_ma last line is just a sledgehammer. now he's got "user of racial epithets and fan of 9/11" attached to him (yes, I realize why he was actually banned for the 9/11 stuff but that won't change normie journalists' narrative when writing about him). he's going to end up as an untouchable if he's not careful and I would assume he doesn't just want to be a Boomer streamer the rest of his life and actually do other things.
He left TYT bc he wanted to be his own boss and he seems to love streaming so I don’t know if he really cares about doing other things. Not like he’s hurting for money either
miz was scrolling through Just Chatting and found a chick with 20 viewers in her underwear doing cam model type stuff she went up to 6,000 viewers, started to take her tit out and got banned live i'm in tears
a lot of girls just use Twitch to kickstart their OF because there's way more money and far less work involved in OF so yea, not surprising.
