i'm pretty sure i posted itt when it happened but a friend whose partner works at twitch told me that he was messaging with underage girls on twitch. no idea how underage, how explicit or frequent the conversations were, how involved DD was in those messages, etc. but there's nothing that's come out since then that has made me doubt this story. DD and Twitch have both lost millions of dollars over whatever it is -- the magnitude of the issue must be something larger than "contract negotiations" or whatever IMO.
Mass reporting is back on Twitch my channel and several others I know got mass reported for offensive names and hate speech and other shit, and now I'm indefinitely suspended. Never received an email saying why I was suspended or for how long, but it has been passed 30 days now so it isn't a temporary suspension. I've appealed and mass messaged through Twitch Support with no fucking answer, so yeah I don't have much hope of getting it back.
Did you say something that would get you targeted by right-wingers or something? They're big with that stuff. And good luck with Twitch support. I have 2 accounts that I've kinda gone back and forth with over the years and one of them was permabanned randomly last summer because of its name being inappropriate (SniffMyTicTacDic... I don't see a problem). I messaged them saying I had the name for years with no issue and it would be neat if they could just change it to something generic to get it unbanned and I could make it something appropriate myself. No response for months so I just committed to my other account. Got an email a few weeks ago finally doing exactly what I asked them to do last summer.
i'm very much ready for this meta to end tomorrow or whenever it's over it's cool to check up on for 5mins or so, but these 8 hour streams of them is way too much for me
it's the biggest thing on the platform right now but it's only 72 or 96 hours there's a blank canvas on reddit.com/r/place and so different reddit communities draw on it, but now twitch streamers are sending their viewers onto it to create drawings but you can only do 1 pixel every 5 minutes, so another community will then start to draw over your drawing so it's a "war" among the communities just chatting has been sitting at 1.3-1.5 million viewers for the past few hours
and zenmour is a french far far right politician with a presidential election in like a week tweeting about it to get people to retake the hasbula area that hasan started
reddit came up with a really cool idea in 2017 and everyone enjoyed it. fast-forward to 2022 and reddit, like most everyone, would rather rehash an old idea than spend time coming up with a new one and now all the hyper-norman streamers and the terminally online are fighting over this crap and it's just awful.
not entirely wrong but I was just including all the people who are obsessed with place but aren't doing it at the behest of a streamer. like, people are sending death threats over this and certain communities are coming as close as metaphysically possible to shitting actual bricks when their flag or spot is messed with by another group.
Bunch of streamers I’ve never heard of playing poker players I have heard of… Mr. Beast Ninja Ludwig Hot chess girl
Chess girl up half a million. These streamers must be loaded bc they’re blasting off like it’s a nickel-dime game.
I'd imagine that memorizing pot odds combinations is pretty similar to memorizing chess openings/positions.
Chess is super awesome, so I'm really enjoying Botez bodying these nerds. Thanks for sharing Chumbolone !
Yeah this is wild, shes loaned out money to three players bc she has all the chips. Running through this table.
In chess, the main strategy is to get a small advantage, then trade down. She's got the most chips, so she'll just make good bets, and they'll just have to get incredibly lucky back to back to get their money back. I bet she could play all these guys at chess, simultaneously, and blindfolded and win. She might have to train for a few weeks, but she could definitely do it.
Chess. Been going to chess club for the first time since December, I’ve certainly learned a lot. At the level she is, openings and chess transform into ideas and feelings and position and pattern recognition more so than rote memorization of lines. It’s still a methodical mind that attempts to discern enemy plans and figure out ways to stop them. Chess is a game with no fog of war though, unlike poker of course.
Ludwig and 2 other streamers got beat handedly by another chess streamer blindfolded simultaneously, but that streamer is several hundred rating points higher than her
Certainly a difference between 2300 and 2000 but a 2000 could feasibly do so. I’m realistically somewhere between 1250-1400 (without getting an official rating) and I’ve started taking the steps of being able to run games I’ve just played back through my head in notation.
there was some legendary malding out of Hellmuth during that event. it's that nightmare pro scenario where you play against total shitters but because they're total shitters and RNG exists in poker you constantly misread them and they Mr. Magoo their way into good hands and just dumpster you.
xqc has returned to stake gambling streams avg 90k viewers I can't even imagine what that sponsorship amount is, mizkif said they offered 10mil/yr for 15 hours a month and he avgs 30-40k viewership
The gambling streams are a real problem. I know of one influencer getting $1million/month from stake. Really just bad bad bad for everyone. Bad for the viewers, bad for the legal gaming industry, bad for the platforms. Just yikes all around.
I watched the xqc stream today and it was just insane. No telling how many people went to that site and just drained their bank accounts on some mobile game looking stuff.
Didn't XQC say he lost like $1.8m gambling just last month? I mean, I guess doing sponsored gambling streams is one way to get that back. Especially if you don't care at all about your community.
You are basically threading the needle on why this is beyond fucked up. I give you $100,000 to gamble but then you “lose” $50,000 gambling. O no what a shame.
Back in the CSGO skins casinos streamers were literally creating the platform, rigging it for themselves, and disclosing nothing. So yeah. it’s fairly obvious when the casinos are rigged too considering they have fixed odds. The trainwrecks dude says “of course I hit major jackpots. I’m playing the slots 16 hours a day!” Dude if you are up after playing thousands of ours of slots it’s 100% rigged because the odds dictate you will lose over time
Stake is based out of fucking Curacao, there is zero oversight. this isn't some nickel slots in Vegas where those machines are tested constantly for the slightest bit of fuckery, this is the Wild West. I immediately associate any streamer doing this as being a fuckstick of the highest order and considering the big three are now Train, greek, and xqc that sounds about right. utterly shameless stuff. the money these streamers make from Stake literally, not figuratively, comes from their own community. you have to be an objectively bad human being to think any of this is OK.
going to see a backlash to gambling deregulation with how bad it's gotten here and in the sports betting space
