Steffen should have had #3 but also shouldn't have been put in the position to stave off elimination so many times. Those last 2 were just terrible. CCV was awesome though and don't blame him 1 bit. Rubin was a fucking pussy all night.
I'm sad, could have easily made the final. It was a decent performance but it was there for the taking.
Man that was deflating. Steffen was amazing but there were at least 3 or 4 "what the fuck are you doing" type of penalties. Said out loud "he's going to sky it" watching CCV walk up to place the ball. Oh well, good showing overall and we were lucky just to make it to pk's anyway.
That was some of the worst penalty taking I have ever seen. As someone else said, I hate the stutter step/walk up approach. Just hit the damn ball and get it on target.
I passed out during the second half and woke up towards the end and saw they were going to et and decided it was in my best interest to record and watch this morning. I was wrong it was in my best interest to not watch and be heartbroken. Damn Steffen is amazing. The PK's were just sad and disappointing to say the least. Good tournament. I wasn't expecting us to beat Serbia and we certainly could have.
