Muschamp killed the spirit. Definitely a new energy with Beamer and hopefully the fans pick up that enthusiasm. We have a lot of holes to fill, but week 1 was great to watch. Went for it on 4th, 2 pt conversion, blocked 2 punts, a lot of young players got snaps, and we won a game that we were supposed to win comfortably. The betting line for the ECU game has moved a lot. We were favorites when it opened and now we’re underdogs. Should be a good gauge if we’re able to out coach another program. We probably have a little more raw talent but on the road, noon kick, and huge questions at qb. At this point if we can win 6+ games this season then we’re heading in the right direction.

 

Honestly 6 would mean a lot, 7 is COTY type stuff. We have lots of pieces and yet lots of holes. Wish we would have taken a chance on some other Portal QBs and Wr.

 

I agree with that wholeheartedly. Small thing, but it was nice to see someone crack a smile once in a while. The opponents are gonna get a lot tougher but at least the "spirit" around the team seemed much improved
