He’s been really jacked up for a few weeks and apparently didn’t even practice last week before Memphis. Really need him healthy.
I guess keeping him from taking hits in an ECU game that we can probably win withoit throwing a pass is a good call since we can use next week too to get him healthy.
I hadn’t seen that but it makes a lot of sense. Other than him refusing to rush, his completion percentage has been way down. Hasn’t seemed right for several weeks.
A former player friend mentioned something to me about him being really banged up. If he's got a shoulder issue I'm sure that little flip he did in memphis didn't help. I'd love to see Mack get more reps anyhow. I'm guessing our D + Running Backs can win this one. Might be a chance for Otis to finally get his.
He can always come in the 2nd half if we need him. Mack throws a pretty ball so I'm excited to see what he can do. With ECU playing a true fresh its a weird game.
He could throw nothing but passes under 10 yards and get 400 yards passing today with how bad ECU is on def and how fast our skill guys are. Hopefully the gameplan is tailored to his strengths and we spread it out again and let him run some.

From what I’ve seen ECU actually has a decent defense, especially at DL. Not sure how they’re giving up the points they are, but they’re middle of the pack to above average nationally in yards and most other stats on D.

Feel like we as a fanbase start getting hypocritical when we say "well this team has a weak schedule and only won by this amount." We're doing to them, what Kirk and College Game Day do to us. If App State had beat Penn State and proceeded to win out, I'd be all for letting them at least have a chance to play for a Natty.
I get your point but they all have losses the teams they were trying to push over us. It felt like ESPN trying to get leverage while we are negotiating the tv contract.
Temple is the better team. They just started slow this year. If they beat Nova and Buffalo they prob end up ranked.

College overtime shouldn't count towards the point total. Should just be 1 point to the winner in the official final score like a hockey shootout. Cincy +3.5 losing just isn't fair.
Bright side I suppose is we don't get crushed by Bama. Other than that its super lame that a sport auto disqualifies more than half its members before the season starts.
Our only hope for a repeat natty claim is that a team like LSU wins CFP. If Bama wins it we probably shouldn't claim anything.
