Oh I know it can flip like a switch by the time he's 4....but for now he just loves the atmosphere I guess? But even in the car he asks to watch UCF football (we have a DVD player so he watches 2013 Fiesta Bowl and 2017 Peach Bowl constantly). But he asks to watch football. He loves yelling "touchdown!" over and over. Which is good for this UCF team because he's usually right. Oh and he freaking LOVES Knightro. He spends most of the game just pointing him out whether it's the actual mascot or just the Knightro head logo when it comes on the screen.
I love that out of all our pregame stuff, Knugget gets the biggest cheer It’s like: Band comes out; Yay Cheerleaders; Yay Pegasus; Yay Knugget; FUCK YEAH IT’S KNUGGET Knightro; Yay
Watched his whole presser. It wasn't anything bad he said. Maybe a little dumb but not trying to be a dick at all. The whole time he did the normal coach shit of praising the opponent.
I think Narduzzi may not be all there. His explanation for why he kicked the FG makes no fucking sense.
Personally, I hope we remove all the context and make it look terrible and put it all over the locker room.
The Herby thing is interesting to listen to. He basically said I don't care for flash in the pans. That would be fine if we knew that if someone like Pitt came out of nowhere one year and went undefeated then fell off back to normal he'd push them into the playoffs. His double standard sucks but it seems we've basically "proven" it to all the big national guys now and we've established ourselves as a national brand. Now it would be nice if that allows us some big OOC games.
The writers really dug in against us after 2017. We used 2018 as validation and sort of forced them to defend their comments so they continued to fight. It looks like us losing but also continuing to be good has caused a major shift in the perception of the program. Also having a true freshman QB light it up shows that UCF isn't going away like Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. But it doesn't matter because the CFP will still never let us in the playoff.
Doing it over 3 years with different QBs and coaches shows its a program, not a team. That is a huge difference in both reality and perception. I also don't think we'd get in unless there is another 2017 situation with no undefeated teams. This year that seems highly unlikely. Clemson could play backups and win every game. But we've now made it impossible for any conference expansion to not include us. We're playing awful UConn on ESPN2. We're a draw now and fun to watch. As long as we keep winning min 9-10 a year and winning the league most years then we should move up in 4-5 years to whatever that may be.
For some reason I thought this team was full of seniors but I just checked the depth chart and I maybe missed a few but we only have like 8 seniors on the 2 deep. We're looking good for 2020.
I mostly agree but we still haven't seen the 2017 team really turnover from a skill position standpoint. Gabe Davis may be better than TreQuan. You still have bigger-stronger-Killins. I would say it needs to get to 2020 and still be doing this to the point you can say "oh yea...this train isn't stopping anytime soon". But we've been churning NFL WRs for damn near 20 years now so I'm not too worried about it.
We have Milton or most likely a more experienced DG next season. We aren't going anywhere for a while.
I see him as unpredictable like a Sheldon in what he thinks. McRae may have a chance and has little mileage on him. I’d love to have both back next year, but we’ll see. We also add some Oklahoma transfer at WR next year who is supposed to be really good (just a small guy though). That’s why we’ve gotten our last two WR commits who are 6’4” and 6’3”. Needed big bodies. Hopefully Nixon also comes back next year. Hopefully Brandon Moore is back at 100% going into next season. We lose Clarke. But all in all, yea, I don’t think we take much of a step back next year if any.
It sucks that out perception is that we’ve only been good since 2017. We were 12-1 literally 4 seasons prior and then won another championship under Justin Holman. 0-12 fucked us but then again I doubt we get Scott/Heup without it.

Guys if we didn’t go 0-12 we would be stuck in a GOL/Key hell instead of White/Frost then a White/Heupel heaven. I’m not religious but God Bless 0-12
I mean we have our QB. RB either Greg or Bentavious next year. OL is almost all back. Have Lee slide into C and figure out who moves to RT. Have a lot of WR depth, hope Nixon stays to be the man. Be fun to see these freshmen with their speed. All TEs are back. DL we lose Hayes and the rest of the guys all come back with a ton of experience. Lose Evans at LB which will suck. Lose Grant and Clarke but if Bam is back with Gowan we have a really nice CB duo and guys like Robinson and McMillian should be good. Big losses: Gabe Grant Johnson Brown Medium losses Evans Hayes Killins Clarke So lose 4 guys on offense (2 OL) and 4 on def. If Davis and Grant were coming back our talent next year would be absurd. I assume one of the QBs transfers as well.
Mack will have a 1 year old and Quadry is a local guy. It’s possible neither are interested in leaving, but I lean towards one of them will leave.
It depends on what their end goal is. If they want to push for the NFL, they will have to transfer, if that’s not in their plan for life after college, why transfer? Have fun with your friends and team
I’m pretty sure it was the presser after the Pitt game last year that someone asked Huepel what he thought about all the “injuries” while we were on offense. He answered something along the lines of that is a valid game plan to slow down offenses like our but looking at the score it obviously didn’t work very well. Lol
Meanwhile in Neb, he seems happy... Frost: I took the area codes off for that game. Reporter: Why did you decide to take them off? Frost: I don’t know, I took the area codes off for that game. Reporter: Was it a statement to the team that it’s not about you? Frost: No, I just kind of made the decision to take them off. Reporter: Will they be back this week? Frost: Probably not this week.
Never heard of this website but this take is growing. Suddenly seeing a lot of "I hated them but for fucks sake put them in the Top 10" takes lately. I agree the LSU loss disarmed some people's hatred and they are willing to be more positive now. https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/put-ucf-in-the-top-10-you-cowards
If there are good things in a loss I'm also glad it kept White from trying to claim a title again. It would have made our previous claim look less serious with how obvious Clemson was as the champ last year.
As the Savannah native I will be claiming first dibs on the Sam Brown bandwagon Ready to see that 912 area code on a helmet
All this media attention is meaningless because, to me, the coverage is binary this year. Either they support UCF as a potential playoff team or they dont. Everyone writing these articles about how good we are and all that are just going to tow the CFP line at the end of the year and stump to keep UCF out. So you'll have to excuse me for not being like the rest of our fans whenever Kirk or Paul Finebaum say something about us thrashing Stanford. Until some writers stand up and say UCF deserves a shot in the playoff the only thing that has changed is that they're being nice while denying access. The results will be the same as 2017 and 2018 until the media heads that are patting our back actually say it's time for UCF to get a shot.
Nothing changes if UCF is ranked between 25-5. they can throw us a bone by giving us a better number next to our name on tv graphics while still excluding us. We're all excited for all the acceptance from the big name writers to the point that no one is paying attention to the fact that they are being very clear we aren't as good as the top teams and that we don't have the schedule to play in the playoff. So to me, nothing's different and fuck em.
As I type that stuff out I feel like I should end with Rage Against The Machine lyrics but our fans are so thirsty for acceptance that they aren't even paying attention to the fact that these writers are literally saying we shouldn't be in the playoff and it's week 3 of the season. They have no reason to want to exclude us yet except for the fact that we're G5 so fuck us. So rip the mic rip the stage rip the system, I was born to rage against em.
