We have 3ish weeks of practice. Our opening drives are usually pretty good this year so Gus will just script all 80 plays. I’m sure it will work out and we will win because fuck the gators that’s why. Thank you
Oh god I just realized we’re gonna have a handful of them in here talking dumb shit and big timing us. Congrats on your school being older and having a century head start.
I love this bowl game opportunity. I am going into this with zero expectations because we both have issues. My only hope is that it is a close game either way and won't be upset if we lose.
I’m not buying Florida just destroying ucf. They’re not very good this year.. although we have issues as well
They can score 20 and cover the spread. But then again we saw the SMU game. Any somewhat competent team looks 3 levels better against UCF this year.
USF had their stadium presentation meeting thing and they said if they get aggressive they can get it open in 2026 but more likely 27/28. Pricetag between $250-400 million. Looks like you are generally supposed to raise half in donations so this isn't happening.
So maybe getting a 2 decade head start on building the thing and making improvements along the way was the better idea. Who would have thought?
They do everything so insanely slow. They will do a feasibility report due in July. So serious fundraising won't kick off til next summer and that would be a year or two probably if they need to get $150 mill+. Then 2 years to build. They are done as a viable program.
Why do they need a stadium that expensive again? also I wonder what our price tag would be now to build the same exact stadium. (2007 version). Just curious.
it was $50 mil in 2007. With inflation, rising material and labor costs, a friend who’s smarter than me said over $200 mil.
I'd believe $100 for our original structurally unsafe model and $200 for current but I'm just guessing. That's not taking into account some current material issues and assume "normal access to materials" but I have no idea
I have a cousin who goes to USF. Their fans and admin legit thought that playing in a rented NFL stadium was a bigger recruiting draw than playing on campus. Even FIU and FAU got stadiums before them.
Made the mistake of listening to a UCF podcast. Bunch of middle age white dudes talking about how good it will look if we lose but keep it close against Florida. Our older fanbase is either sundowning or stuck in the “best 0-3 team in the country” loser mentality
They were having problems because of the AWS outage earlier this week. Said it should be by Friday now
This UCF team, including injuries, is the worst we've had since oleary left. I think it's going to be pretty ugly. I'm betting the under.
Very excited to see the Gus offense get a tiny bit of momentum and then he does a whole offensive line change to give the defense a chance to drag ass, take a breath, substitute late, and then we get a delay of game penalty. It’s so cool.
This game is going to be extra unwatchable as I can’t go anymore and I’m watching it with my gf and her family who are either alumni or old money Florida boosters.
If Bowser is healthy and rushes for 150 yards I’ve convinced myself we win. Both scenarios are a stretch.
But with that attitude it’s your fault we’ll never be invited to the SEC. Aren’t you a real fan? speaking of which I noticed Knight Fan Stan is still out there doing his thing
