The Emperor, if you wanna fuck with Boyle's daddy anymore, I'm pretty sure this is him and his company. Address checks out to Martin T Boyle and Kathleen J Boyle. http://companies.findthecompany.com/l/9922011/Martin-T-Boyle-Inc-in-Chester-NY
More or less this thread is like the new big east. Sure we arent all great posters but we trimmed off all the cusa level guys and we now have as good of a group as is realistic and we laugh at how shitty the cusa has become.
Did we ever recruit a PG named Shane Larkin who ended up at Miami? I'm at the GT/Miami game and he's kicking ass. Name sounded familiar.
if anyone ever was thinking about getting a dungeon membership on here, there is literally 3 locked threads right now because of how retarded it has gotten in there.
So ESPN saying the Catholic schools that broke off are going to get 5 mill a year for just basketball rights. I can't see how a 10-12 team league with only 2-4 good teams in it brings in that much but if they do then we have to be closer to $10 mill a year than some shitty amount.
So UCF'ers, what message board faction of your fan base is the most embarrassing? Your Rivals board is pretty funny, but CSNBBS is full of assholes...let me amend that, everyone is an asshole over there.
Sources say that Fox, whose Fox Sports 1 channel is set to launch in August, has an initial high offer on the table of more than $500 million for a 12-year deal. Lol, ESPN will probably destroy this Catholic league if they sign with Fox
looking like a $5MM a year deal for the old big east bball schools in a new league. if they get paid more than us i'll be super pissed.
How does any basketball league get any sort of money when no one watches games during the regular reason? The only rights worth a damn are the Torunament and Duke/UNC games. If fox pays that, it is just beyond desperate.
i find this line from brandon hilarious: Spoiler "Blaise Winter was dismissed as DL coach. Not a total surprise. He had never been a coach before and it didn't seem like he made the necessary transition from motivational speaker."
Sup guys, I trust everyone had a pretty good weekend. Things I know that happened: 1 kennypowers got drunk 2 as did citrodong 3 we beat some shit team in bball at home an no one saw it because no one cares 4 The Big East took another junk punch while it slowly dies in a fire 5 the IHYT clan enjoyed a nice weekend of playoff football and not changing any diapers as mini IHYT took his first duce in the pot. 6 chanman is still teasing us with empty popsicle promises
pretty smart of Taggert if they have any solid players in the next couple years which I am sure they do. but why couldn't this happen when Ely was their qb?
Naw man, taking a little break from the sauce after the NYE debacle. The hangover was that devastating. Trying to get back on track weight loss wise as well, gained 15 lbs the past 6 months after I was in the best shape of my life. I've seen this trend before and it doesn't end well.
Paul Tenorio @osknights Big East discussing UMass, Tulsa as possible expansion targets according to @ESPNAndyKatz: http://es.pn/Wo3CGx #osucf
I'm just under the impression that nothing is set in stone until we actually kickoff the season 2013. Once that season is done then I'll have the same feeling until we kickoff the 2014 season.
I put on 10 since November 1st. combo of holidays, new born and mostly due to not playing weekly soccer and raquetball games. Thank God serious coed soccer starts again this week.
Curious if ECU and/or Tulane could leave CUSA early. With Boise and possibly SDSU leaving, Big East needs 1-2 extra teams next year for championship game. We really have to wait until July 1st before we'll know what next year's schedule will look like when all the first round of newbies become official members. It would suck to add another terrible football school in UMASS, but as a long term member, its not bad. They have name recognition, pretty good basketball (minus the last few years), pretty close the Boston television market. Plus as far as eastern options go, there aren't really any good football programs available to add anyways (Southern Miss is pretty good minus this year, but seems like their TV market would prevent it from happening). Tulsa would be a nice add for quality sports programs, but sounds like they aren't really interested. Also, that report from ESPN about the cathlolic 7 BB deal has to be completely made up. They report with the football schools prior to the BB schools leaving that the deal would be between 40-60 million a year and now with no football they are going to get 50 million a year. That makes no sense. If the A10 deal is a good comparison as far as no football league deals, how do the catholic 7 bring in 10-12 times what the A10 schools bring in per year?
UMass would be horrible, they have a little name recognition from when Calipari took Marcus Camby to the final four, and nothing since, over 10 years, even their "fan base" is tiny, they don't sell out games, and don't even get me with football, just as bad as adding Tulane or Rice would be. I hate college sports right now, just terrible.
Problem is, you could say the same or worse about almost every option out there that is realistic. I do think BE is better off adding minimum needed to get to twelve teams than just adding more crappy teams to get to 14. I'm probably losing track of who is in/out, but if SDSU leaves and we add no one, would be be at 12 teams after ECU/Tulane become members? If SDSU is interested in staying, then just add Fesno/Nevada/or UNLV and hope that no one else leaves for a year or two.
Here's a guy who says Family Guy isnt classy. 2DogKnight Post #2064 Central Florida MyFanPage Add Buddy Ignore Re: Family Guy calls UF Down Syndrome Camp Reply Agree with you Gatorbait5. The post, and apparently the show, totally lacks class.
I, for one, look to Family Guy to be a kind and heartwarming comedy, and to do so with the utmost class and respect. I'm not sure when it devolved into making fun of various groups of people, Down-Down's included. I miss the good ole days of Family Guy, when It was like the 'Cosby Show' or 'Leave it to Beaver' of this era.
at this point i don't care too much about who the big east adds as long as they don't suck (relatively speaking). i'd like a champ game and if we get some competitive teams like tulsa or southern miss (usually) then i figure it'd be better off than fresno, unlv, or some other stupid west crap teams (or east ones at that). whatever maximizes our money though i'll be all for.
Adding teams in the east fucks us long term. Could totally see a ravaged acc taking upstart umass uconn Cincinnati and usf.
